In other news, it looks like Elliot is hurt and Halak will be starting. In a weird way it is almost better for them that they don't have to choose one or the other. - Gunner Staal
yeah i see your point. however, i was looking forward to seeing how they rotated both of those horses in the fold.

Bylsma doesn't get engaged in media fights thank god. I'm sure he has his hate on though. "Let's grind these b1tches down!"
If you saw some of the goals Bryz was letting in there is some truth in those numbers. He had quite a few soft goals in last year's series. His team had a tough matchup to begin with, but he played poorly himself as well. - Gunner Staal
Different opponent, team and players. Those numbers dont mean a thing for Bryz because he is in Philly now. To be honest I dont know what Bryz is going to show up tonight but inorder for the Flyers to have a chance to win the series hes going to have to be very good.
I am friends (actually now family) with a guy who moved over here from philly and married my cousin. He eats and breaths the Phils and Eagles. But is a converted and very educated Pens fan. He texted this morning, 'Pens in 6, go Phillies' - ryman1566
Nice, hope he is right. Phillies are followed religiously in these parts. They follow them like Pittsburgh follows the Steelers if not more intense.

I was looking forward to seeing how they handled it as well, but I can't imagine the coaches were looking forward to it.
Personally for my money, I would go with Halak. This season could be an aberration for Elliot. Halak has pretty respectable numbers himself, and is a playoff monster, as we know all too well (MadCap included).

Would be better for Lavi to answer that question after the series is over.

I think Bob is a very competent back up.... If Bryz melts down I'm sure Lavy won't hesitate with the hook.

I am more focused on the soft goals portion of it. He took the wind out of his team last year in the playoffs. Had nothing to do with Detroit being the opponent. Soft crappy goals are soft crappy goals whether it is Columbus or Detroit.
Might be a moot point now:
Bryzgalov is apparently not on the ice with the team for the morning skate, which started about 20 mins ago. - bmeltzer

Disco said in his media scrum that his starting goaltender is a game time decsion from now until the end of the playoffs. I have a problem with that, for a guy who went to bat for MAF for the Vezina, this isn't a ringing endorsement. I know Dan always says his line up is game time. But, I see no reason for this comment
