Flyers beat the Penguins twice with Crosby. I don't understand it. I can see the Pens being slight favorites, but they are significant favorites.

IMO, they shouldn't be the favorites to win the Cup, strictly based on having a very difficult first round matchup.

Vegas means squat. Only thing that matters is the players out on the ice playing the game.

Well the Vegas oddsmakers aren't exactly in a business that loses money.

Dont disagree. However that doesnt mean the Pens will win the whole thing either.

I think most people are picking the pens but only on a coin flip. The flyers match up well against the Pens and can absolutely win this series. It should be a fun one to watch.

It should be a good series. Flyers have to avoid falling behind 2-0 in games. That can be death. Also they must split the first two games. Trailing in any series 2-0, is usually lights out. Very hard to win 4 out of 5.

If the Flyers can stick to their game from start to finish, game to game, they can win. There are going to be miscues, of course, but they'll need to keep them to a minimum.

Bryzgalov making the saves he should make will help immensely.

I hope they target Letang like the Pens did to Kimmo the last series they played. Crush him every time he has the puck.

So if the Flyers win games 2, 4, and 6 by scores of 5-2, and lose one goal games in 1, 3, 5, and 7, they will win the series? Awesome!

Interesting how the Penguins are overwhelming favorites to win the series when the Flyers defeated them in 4 of the 5 games this year. Throw out the last game as it was meaningless. Flyers are also 5-0 in the Consol Energy Center.

Why are the Penguins big favorites? Does Vegas put zero stock on what happens during the regular season?

I guess if the Flyers matchup with the Rags in a playoff series, the regular season will be ignored, and the Flyers will be a huge favorite in that series...

Pains me to say it but I am hoping the Flyers win this one.

My prediction. Pens win the 1st game in a blowout with Crosby going wild. Game 2 comes around and Rinaldo knocks Crosby into orbit, thus ending his playoffs a bit early. Flyers win series in 6, as Pens can't overcome the loss of Sid in the playoffs.

They are. The Flyers are a good team as well. Like I said, I understand the Pens being favorites, but not to the degree they are.

I agree. The Pens also have all the pressure, IMO. I have a good feeling about this round. Game 1 is going to be rocking.

If the Flyers' win total in a 7 game series matches the number of positive thoughts you have in a day, they will lose.

I heard he played on each cup winning team, too, so big accomplishment for him to be part of the success.

I just think that Bryz has to stop the pucks he should stop and not let in the soft goals. I unfortunately think that the refs are going to want to be more of a factor in this series than needed. It's going to be a very very tight and close series.

yes, let's bring the history of the Habs into the equation.

it will be a tough series and it's all about defense. As much as the both teams have depth, it's the rookies who will make the biggest difference.
No predictions from me. Just win...
