- 11 of 15 picked Pitt to beat Philly
- 10 of those 11 picked Pitt to win the cup
Pretty interesting for there to be such an overwhelming belief the Penguins will beat the Flyers. I see this series as a 50/50 shot either way... |

There it is again...the unearned love for Jordan Staal...just scored an absolutely incredible career high of 50 POINTS!!!!! It's a wonder how he managed to put together such an epic season.
Between last year and this year he's had more than enough opportunity to get the ice time and chance to put up numbers and he doesn't get it done.
Change his name to "Jordan Smith" and people wouldn't even give him a second look.
Good two-way forward, nothing more. - Juice
Put him on yourtop line i beleive he'd put up way more points than that. |

Any chance of the Sabres bringing in a legitimate scorer? Roy should be out of town, Boyes and Hecht will likely not be back, hopefully trade Sekera to make room for McNabb. That should open up some cap space. What about the chances of bringing in Parise (friends with Drew Stafford) or Iginla, Getzlaf, Ryan, etc. to boost the offense. Have 4 draft picks in the first 60. One of the two first rounders could be used as trade bait too. |

IF parise leaves nj, he is going to a team that is going to contend for the cup, not one who struggles to make the playoffs, having to go on long runs to get in
and im pretty damn sure parise has other friends too, zajac? and how many other fans can say he is friends with player x on their team? a professional athlete isnt going to a team just to be with a friend |

A lot of people seem to think the Leafs would be one of the teams going after Parise. I've heard the Canes too. Not exactly stellar records over the past few years. Buffalo has one of the best fan bases in the league (we've got nothing else to cheer for!). The new ownership has energized people about the team. Think you're gonna see cancers to the team like Roy shipped out of town and some new leadership brought in. Just hope those leaders can put the puck in the net. |

pretty much every team will go after him if he goes to free agency, doesnt mean he will sign there
do you think parise will want to go to a team that could be rebuilding? he will want to be on a team that can win the cup in the next year or 2 not maybe in 5years, and the new ownership after spending all that money in buffalo got them to 9th place |

If Toronto deals their 1st rounder this year for Nash I officially give up.
I can hear it now from Burke:
"Anytime you have the chance to get a player if this calibre you have to do it. I'd be an idiot not to make this deal and I'm not an idiot. I believe Rick Nash is a top 5 player in this league and give this team a chance to compete every night."
And he will speak to the trade of a lottery pick:
"The pick we gave away as part of the deal may well turn out to be a good NHL player...but as I said before, I'm not interested in 3-4 years from now, we're trying to wni now and Nash gives us that chance"
Man...being a Leafs fan sucks. - Juice
Sadly, this could happen exactly as described, except that it will cost MORE than that pick...
I am terrified that we are trading that pick for a quick fix now that absolutely will not work out.
