I think Suter's full of hot air. Since the ASG he's been playing like he's already mentally checked out. Hopefully he tries to go out with a bang instead of a whimper, but I don't see him coming back to Nashville. MN is the more likely destination. God only knows why. - Predaceous
I disagree entirely. The relationship with Poile and the Suter family runs deep.
If Brad Stuart doesn't sign with the Wings it will simply be because his wife can't move out of California. He will go to a team in Cali. "The reality of the money" will have nothing to do with it.
If Toronto deals their 1st rounder this year for Nash I officially give up.
I can hear it now from Burke:
"Anytime you have the chance to get a player if this calibre you have to do it. I'd be an idiot not to make this deal and I'm not an idiot. I believe Rick Nash is a top 5 player in this league and give this team a chance to compete every night."
And he will speak to the trade of a lottery pick:
"The pick we gave away as part of the deal may well turn out to be a good NHL player...but as I said before, I'm not interested in 3-4 years from now, we're trying to wni now and Nash gives us that chance"
Man...being a Leafs fan sucks. - Juice
I would trade any pick (not in top 5) from this draft to get Nash in a heartbeat. The Leafs have some really good pieces. They need a #1 line though...They really are a few players away from being a very dangerous team.

they have a very good 1st line, kessel and lupol are the best tandem in the NHL (according to doctor NHL- they had more points then the twins) they just dont have a center, and depth and their D is overrated and well they need help in goal
also they cant create offense when it isnt on the rush, they cant cycle

As long as those few players are Rinne, Suter, Weber, Stamkos, and Malkin.

nash to the sharks? - TheRussian
Who do the sharks have to offer? The kings still have bernier, and that would be a wrong for SJ, they'll have too much fire power and it won't work out, not only that but SJ has good players, so it would be hard to give someone to CBJ that would screw over CBJ in that deal, everyone has potential.

Well when you have the biggest softy in the league who's scared to death of physical contact (Bozak) That happens.
Been saying that all year that Leafs can't create offense off of the cycle cause their forwards are too soft.
Bozak needs to go. 40 points playing first line minutes with Lupul and Kessel is not impressive. A lawn chair could of done that.

He'll go back to the Kings after he played 1 season with them and put up some good numbers for a defenseman.
Totally off topic, but I'm trying to get my playoff draft list together and need a good site that has current line combinations. Anyone know a good one?
Also, I'd love to see the Leafs get a new goalie coach. How many goalies can Francois Allaire ruin before we take notice? His style of stay deep in your net and play big doesn't work for everybody. Might of worked for Roy and Gigure but jesus Giggy looked like a linebacker in net when he won the cup.
Reimer was a great goalie last year coming out to cut his angles down and challenging shooters. Now how many times do we say "omg Reims, why are you so deep in your net there" as the puck sails by him.
Who do we have to thank for that? Francois Allaire cause god help you if you get caught out of position playing too far out of your net. Allaire would have a melt down. He'd rather see shots just going straight in the corners.

I don't think it matters. Poile took away every single excuse Suter had for not signing on the dotted line and he still hasn't signed. I think Suter is trying to make an exit from Music City without looking like the bad guy, but the way this has all dragged on this season has soured a lot of Preds fans on him already.
