not to sound like a jerk, but I couldn't care less about the Senators to be honest. Good for them for surpassing my expectations this year, but they're a Canadian team (no personal offense), they're the Sens.. who we beat en route to '03, who beat us in '07. I don't hate, but don't like Alfy, and most of them. I guess Anderson is the only guy i can get behind because of his story, and Karlsson is a beast.

they're bland to me. don't care to see them past this 1st round. But i'd love to beat them to get to another Cup Final.

I'm getting into playoff mode.. tolerance and 'positive attitudes' towards opposing teams is already changing. We're coming hard this year, ready to kick a$$.

tis true. no one enjoyed Elias' 96 point season. no one enjoyed watching their goalie break nearly every major record. Heck I never really watched much of the 4 runs to the Finals, winning 3 Cups... in my lifetime. Mogilny potting 43 goals in 00-01 with his laser of a shot was pretty lame. Couldn't stand to sit through Gomez winning a Calder. And Niedermayer!... Stevens!.. Rafalski!.. Holik!.. Lemieux! what an absolute boring group of players to watch! No one enjoyed watching Jeff Friesen in game 7 of the 2003 Eastern Conference Finals that was an incredibly boring game!!! Raising banners before the opening game of 80% of the seasons since I began watching as a kid.. how lame. I want to drink my life away every time I look into our rafters.

I've watched many games for many seasons and I can't say theres been many times when I haven't wanted to turn the game on... if any times at all.

Yes, your team is bland, led by a bland captain. Karlesson is great. Spezza had a great year. Michalek can play. Niel packs a punch.. but everything else is a wash to me. They're not the Bruins, the Hawks, even the Sharks or the underdog Panthers. They're the lackluster Senators.

The worst part is I have to root for them in the next round.. but rooting for any team against the Rangers isn't hard. GO SENS!
