I think Burke would be more than fine with taking Galchenyuk instead of having to give up assets to get Grigorenko. And EDM shouldn't trade down passed us, as we are in the market for a D-man as well. My guess for the first 5 picks:

Columbus just put up 7 against us... I'd say we need defense too.

Great way to end a dismal season. Capuano will be back next season so that's just (frank)ing awesome. This year's draft should be interesting - I don't see Snow trading our pick to acquire some talent. Garth probably still thinks players want to sign here... well good players under the age of 39 anyways. Not sure how long this rebuild is supposed to take but since 07, the Isles have finished dead last in their division every season. Not sure how success is measured in the front office but where I come from, you'd be fired.

Not really pumped about this offseason. It will pretty much be the same as it's been the last 5 years. Draft someone, tell everyone we're developing our youth and blah blah blah. Playoff push starts draft day! Wonder if PA gets 6 mill season... Probably just a little shy. I'm thinking 25 over 4 or 5. DiPietro will come out in June and say he's healthy and can't wait to get back between the pipes - Isles will trade their top 3 pick for the 10th or something so they can get another 2nd.... Reasoner might come out of the closet, Strome will make next year's squad, and Capuano should put on about 20 lbs before opening night.

The way things look now it's going to be a brutal offseason. I may give my PC a rest for a couple of days starting on July 1. That Wang interview still makes me sick. Very hard to believe things will get better.
