I was thinking the opposite will happen like it did last year. We'll "lock" down the #4 pick and wind up at # 5 because of someone else higher seeded winning the lottery.

Last year was a fluke, the odds are that we will be picking at 4. Which means we'll almost definitely get one of Murray/Dumba.

You have to wait to see what the new CBA is first...the new CBA might have a clause where you might be able to buyout one contract and the team isn't penalized...

It's very good...I use it myself...I think I would buyout DP and save the $3.5 million a year...but that's me (MBA degree)...but the MBA the Isles have will have him be the backup goalie...

I think Burke would be more than fine with taking Galchenyuk instead of having to give up assets to get Grigorenko. And EDM shouldn't trade down passed us, as we are in the market for a D-man as well. My guess for the first 5 picks:

CBJ - Yakupov
EDM - Murray
MON - Grigorenko
NYI - Dumba
TOR - Galchenyuk
