Wolski, no question, and also, this is where loss of Zuccarello hurts a lot
- airjan23

yeah definitely.

You can certainly understand if Sather thought Zuccarello would be better for the team than Wolski

I still believe he's been counting on Kreider the whole time though

who was the last player to go right from either college, juniors or minors straight to the playoffs? In addition, who was the last one who succeeded? Was it Ken Dryden?
- airjan23

I'm not expecting Conn Smythe, just addition to the lineup, more speed, size and secondary scoring, the hype has gotten a little out of control, we all know he's got a bright future. Hagelin brought a lot of jump to the lineup when he was brought up, I think Kreider can bring an added jump.

If we go down in this 1st round cause of a lack of scoring, Sather has to take a huge hit for his lack of doing anything at the deadline.

Teams were asking for too much, the fact that Gaustad went for a 1st rounder I can't blame Sather for not making a mistake and trading a chip, there was also a ridiculous amount of players that were due to become Free Agents that resigned before the deadline.

Who did you want him to get? Nash was never truly available, I didn't see any other forwards of any worth moved.

I understand, but you know the frustration of us Rangers fans will be back on Slats if this blows up in the next few weeks. Because if we are to go down I'm sure it will be to lack of scoring, not goaltending or defense breaking down.

This is all hypothetical anyway, hopefully we never have to have that conversation.

I will say, if Hank is not on top of his game, it won't be pretty as their inablility to finish will come be an issue.

For FLA it's the Upshall factor.

yeah who knows, both teams relied a lot on extra pt/shootouts to get into the playoffs. i can def see the panthers winning though unlikely. i can dream cant i?

Working on my RotoWire column in my head, still have to get it on paper, but can see Florida extending the series a bit but think NJ is a lot stronger and should win. Right now, my second round matchups are NYR-Wash and NJ-Pitt in East with Van-Chi and St L-Nash in West.

the one thing the panthers have is good blueline point producers in garrison, campbell and kulikov. plus jovo cop and gudbranson can add the much needed grit. But if we honestly think the panthers offense can go punch for punch with the devils, we're really just kidding ourselves.
