Pens are a joke lately. Too much whining. Also turnig greasy the last few games. Hope they can handle the greasy against the flyers because there will be lots coming their way.

I wonder what the punk Crosby would be saying if one of their players just got a knee on knee hit? I hope Philly breaks lots of sticks over Crosby during this playoff season like he did to the flyers last game.

Take note pen fans, flyers have dominated the pens in the win column this year...a little more domination coming their way.

I hate the Rangers, but even I can see that hit by Orpik was dirty & cheap. WTF is with all the cheap shots by Penguin players lately? Vitale on Grossmann, Malkin & Crosby on Giroux, Engelland trying to fight Simmonds with stitches on his face, and now Orpik on Stepan...and that's just in the past week!

But yeah, obviously the Penguins are 1st class, top-tier, above-reproach angelic choir boys who never do anything wrong and are always the victims of other teams' actions. Yep, that's what we've learned this week.

- shonoff95

Pens do get dirty at times, but I watched the replay like 5 times, and I hate both the Rangers and the Penguins, but not once did I see Orpik extending his knee to make contact. It seemed more incidental than anything. If Orpik moved his knee out, then it's a different story, but Orpik came into the hit with a wide base and was getting ready to make a solid hit on Stepan. When Stepan tried to avoid it, he winded up hitting Orpik's knee and since Orpik was in a sturdy stance, Stepan took the most of the hit.

I had to scratch my starting popcorn gif to make sure it was available for the postseason. You know how those (insert division rival team) goons are.

If a game means nothing to a team, should teams be allowed to forfeit for safety sake?

Its good to have a good minor league system of gifs to fall back on in these cases.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. While I have respected Orpik in the past, I think he DID extend his right leg in the replay to catch Stepan. It may not have been in his mind to get him knee-on-knee and rather just stick out his leg to impede Stepan as he made a move to get around him, but that doesn't matter...it's still dirty and cheap IMO. Orpik wasn't trying to make a solid hit as it was out near the blueline...he was simply going to get beat and resorted to sticking out his leg as he was about to be embarassed by a nice move. Simple as that. I wonder how many more players the Penguins will take out & injure before something happens.

Whiney-To complain or protest in a childish fashion. At what point during this past week have the pens complained or protested about the events that have occured with the Flyers and Rangers? Just saying in this instance ignorance isn't bliss.

And apparently it fits perfectly. Stay classy, Pittsburgh. And keep up the pissing & moaning about other teams' fans being "classless" while you're at it. The hypocrisy is working well for you.

One example would be your GM Shero whining about Milbury's comments. He didn't have a player who was taken out & injured by a cheap shot...all he had was some comments (albeit very TRUE comments) from a broadcaster, and Shero got all teary about it & publicly cried foul about it. So there you go. How's that crow taste?

Just wait until Shanahan reviews this and says pretty much the same thing...the wailing from across the Hudson will be so loud that windows will shatter all over Newark.

"can't touch him?" LOL....apparently you know nothing about the "tough guy" code when it comes to fighting. obviously, trying to have a conversation with you about that would be akin to having a battle of wits with an unarmed person. Carry on in your ignorance.

That is a terrible come back my friend. A response to Milbury's comments does not constitute whining. I would say a coach trying to fight on the bench a player saying he intended to hurt me with a clean hit and an assistant coach calling 2 players the dirtiest players in the league would fall under the definition of whining. I would say those all are childish acts.

Tortorella was a complete embarrassment after the game last night. I think he is trying to pressure Shanahan into suspending Orpik for a few games. Penguins have beaten the Rags like a drum this year, Tortorella and company want no part of them. Just my .02 cents.
