It was nice to see him at the game on fan appreciation night. What little news there has been on him hasn't been inspiring. There are rumors floating around that Pronger's said he'll be back next season, though I'm not confident in that at all.

Him and 87 are in completely different scenarios. Sid was/is so young, Pronger really has done it all and for a long time. No need to risk anything. But the reason he is an all time great is his drive to compete.

His quality of life is a factor at this point, being a fully accomplished player with a family to consider. From all accounts, though, he's always been really competitive, so who knows. I'll say this: it'd be a true hockey miracle to have him back.
