I think shonoff thinks at some point we are gonna cave and say "Youre right, we are horrible a-hole fans, our team is dirty and we like it that way"
You know its getting bad when you almost wish Pens would get sent to the box and suspended just to shut up these other fans. - Rawdog9755
I find it odd that a Flyers fan would feel that way. His team and fans has embraced the history of the Broadstreet Bullies that didn't really win through skill and great hockey, they just beat teams into submission. Even the fans are of the belief of that nothing is off limits. They will wish injury, cuss at grandparents and generally treat fans of other teams as garbage, but he condones us for similar behaviour. |

His name just makes me mad I didn't have to look at his city of origin. He is probably wearing like a tap out or Affliction tshirt right now. Ha Ha Extra medium |

I was referring to what I said regarding wishing players get injured. Why are you afraid of having your guys get outnumbered on the ice? 3rd man in gets ejected and suspended or are you afraid we will call in a favor to the league office and have the penalty waived? I never said a word about Vitale.
Spouting off about Ward doesnt matter to me--ask Gunner I have railed on him on this board constantly and hate him. As for Ben, the girls got what they wanted and deserved.
Anymore brain busters for me? Not sure what point you are trying to make. - Rawdog9755
Ask a hockey player why they wouldn't want to be outnumbered 5-to-3 during a line brawl. Common sense should be enough, but since it's not, go ask the question and let me know what you find out. You talk about penalties like they're always fair & always called (which we all know is the biggest farce out there). Asham should have been tossed after his initial melee with Schenn, but for some reason he was still standing by the bench and then got into it with Rinaldo (who was only yapping)...did Asham get additional penalties for that? Nope.
You were the one who brought up football, not me. Why you decided to do that on a hockey forum, I don't know. Talk about "brain busters." |

Simple one thing the embrace more than the broad street bullies mentality is female doging especially when there team was the ones who got punked. |

We talk about a lot of things on this board. You arent here ever so you dont know. For example--do you know who #fossilgirl is? Go look at yesterday's post and all the crap about golf. If you want to talk nothing but Flyers hockey go back to your board. I dont care about your team or the players on it or them getting any sort of fair shake as it pertains to punishment(suspensions or penalties)--does that make my stance simpler for you? |

So you don't want to be stereotyped and judged as a whole fanbase, but you just did the same thing. Brownie point for you.
We've already covered the "wishing injury" stuff, Mr. Amnesia. That was all you. I have no idea what you're talking about with cussing at grandparents, but I do know that I don't "condone" (sic) you for similar behaviour. I also don't condone major grammatical mistakes as it makes you look dumb and thus, undermines your credibility when it comes to taking you seriously. I certainly "CONDEMN" that sort of thing. |

Im at the point where I am going to embrace the persona other fans are pushing. They want to paint Pens fans as blood lusting lunatics promoting a dirty team then fine. Lets roll. |

yep, i know about fossilgirl. did she do the same thing as you?...go off-topic and then when someone responds to that off-topic rant, question that person for it and ask them if they had any more "brain busters?" LOL.
I don't know what you're talking about with "my players" getting fair shakes on punishment. You brought up a point about penalties, I refuted that point, then you respond by saying you don't care. Ummmm...okay. Maybe it's time to leave you clowns to discuss golf & football on this here hockeybuzz forum. |

I don't judge the Flyers or the fans for embracing that mentality. It won them a pair of Stanley Cups. I just find it ironic that a fan of that organization is so offended when another organization plays by the same rules.
Either way, I'm done with you. I got sick of you yesterday and have seemingly fallen into the same pattern today. |

Using the example of Tom Brady getting injured wasnt off topic. It was used to draw a comparison. Try to keep up.
You mentioned penalties not evening out in your last post; hence my response was I dont care if they even out and your team gets a fair shake. It is irrelevant to me. Do you read what you type? Every response of mine has been directed at a point you made.
You call me an idiot earlier yet you are the one looking for sympathy as a flyers fan on a penguins board. Not too smart there chief.
Be careful, you are outnumbered. Based on your previous posts you seem pretty afraid of that. |

engelland threw the first punch, period. on a guy who had 7 stitches from taking a puck to the face the day before and was simply trying to tie up an opponent so his teammates didn't get double-teamed (esp after briere left the ice, already leaving the other flyers on the ice outnumbered). in the world of tough guys, that's a wussy move, plain & simple. deal with it or don't, i dont care...but it is what it is. - shonoff95
Ok so you have never been in a fight before clearly, thats ok, you have been lucky in that aspect of life apparently because 99% of the time you both end up hurt as anyone who has been in a few can backup. Anyways, if you watch the hockeyfights.com replay(assume everyone does for fight replays) on you tube its VERY clear to anyone who has ever been in a real fight before that the punch thrown by simmonds at 20 seconds was the exact second it became a fight and not just a scrum. You get what you ask for. I respect simmonds for not backing down but its never smart to start throwing with a tough guy when your face is cut that bad. It was also not smart of lavi to have him out there in the first place knowing he would do just what he did because of his character.
deal with it or don't, i dont care...but it is what it is. |

Just an FYI for you...in case you haven't noticed, it's not 1975 anymore (as you like to point out repeatedly when you run out of insults so you throw that one out there). The game of hockey today in 2012 is vastly different than it was in the mid-70s. You should know...your buddy Matt Cooke helped usher in that era with his cheap shots. So yeah, welcome to 2012. Thanks for playing. |

Yes, welcome to 2012 where the Pens are the beneficiary of every break that can go our way and we take liberties on everybody. Does hearing it from a Pens fan make you feel better? |
