Well he's posted a very respectable 55 point season. Do you expect him to take a pay cut?

If the cap is an issue, sure.

As much as I like Carle, I'm not sure if I'm comfortable giving him that kind of deal.
- LordStanley88

I'd like to get him closer to 5M. But I could live with 5.5M. Let's hope Holmgren finds a way. Or get's a suitable replacement. He's a very key player on this team.

Cost him 20G's. He doubled up on Laviolette.

I wouldn't consider it impossible. Of course, I don't have a vision of him taking an insultingly low offer. He could also be re-signed to replace a forward if we opt to include one in a trade.
- BulliesPhan87

I would expect him to sign in the neighborhood of $3 million if he were to return. We'll see what happens, but I'd love to have him back.

$5.5m is the maximum I would be comfortable paying him, and right now I don't feel any assurance he'll be a Flyer next season.

I don't see it. Who knows though. If he wants to play next year, and no other teams are interested in his services, the Flyers will hold the cards, not sure that happens though.

Neither do I. I think he's a very important part of the team, but something along the lines of 6/$30 million is probably as high as I'd go.

For sure. It's going to be an interesting offseason for sure, and I think it's going to be a moderately busy one.

Yes, I would in this circumstance.
- MJL

Agreed. I think he could be had for something in the 2M+ range, as long as he is happy here and feels the team can win. He seems to be enjoying himself here, and he's playing well and fits in with the team. I think maybe it's not going to be AS MUCH about the money with Jagr at this point. We'll see.

I see Jagr as a player that is interested in comfort and familiarity rather then just money. And you can tell that he loves playing with Giroux. That is obvious. Home town discounts don't happen often, but in this case. It's a real possibility.

$3m would be the bar, maybe they can get him for a bit less. I'd love another year with Jaro.

I definitely see other teams having interest if, for whatever reason, he is decidedly not going to be a Flyer next season.

Right. Who knows but Jags.

He stated money isn't an issue. If that was really the case, he'd be playing for the Pens right now.

Looking at Cap Geek right now though, I don't see where the Flyers would get the money to re-sign Carle in that neighborhood. We'd most certainly have to deal a forward, and I really want to hold onto JVR still.

Pens just called up a major goon for tomorrow's game, If I were the Flyers I'd sit your stars and call up some warm bodies, make tomorrow fun and beat the living piss out of those scum bags.

I know most of us don't get along but right now we a common bond, good luck and I hope you sweep those !

It was more than just about money with the Pens. He felt smited by them too due to their priority being re-signing Tyler Kennedy and not him.

Money is always an issue. He has played pretty well this year, I would prefer the Flyers move on and go with the youth.

Knowing the ball park that Carle will cost, the Flyers can't sign Carle before July 1. Without making a deal to clear up future Cap space.

This division certainly has become heated recently. It's a shame the Devils weren't in any recent divisional rumbles, it could've gotten more interesting around here

Has nothing to do with being 6-0 vs. the Flyers and 0-4 in the last 4 games vs. the Pens right? RIGHHTTTTTTT??
