Tier 1: Crosby/Malkin = 3 points

Tier 2: Neal/Giroux/Briere/Letang = 2 points

Tier 3: Hartnell/Kunitz/Dupuis/Cooke/Sullivan/Simmonds/Kennedy/Jagr/Timonen = 1 point

All other players are interchangeable.

Pits = 15 Phi = 9

Edge for goaltending goes to Pittsburgh
Edge for Home ice is likely gonna be Pittsburgh

Only shot you have of competing in a long series is if Pronger comes back.

So, by what logic is your Tier one worth 3 points and Tier two worth 2 points? Also, Giroux is better than the other players in your Tier two, and Simmonds and Hartnell are more valuable than most of the Tier three guys. If you wanted to do a Tier system fairly you'd probably need 15 levels.

But, despite all of this, the Flyers have still managed to somehow beat the Pens 4 of the first 5 games this year. So I'm guessing this Tier stuff doesn't mean much to them either.

people need to be careful with this penguins/flyers stuff. if the Devils win their next two and the flyers lose their next two, the penguins are playing the devils. something i would be happy with.

throw out the regular season stuff. i would take the flyers or penguins over any team in the east. sadly, if we play each other, not only will one of us go home, but the other one will probably be out of gas.

no kidding, remember wayyyy back when the leafs made the playoffs, ya well there was afew years when the season series was 5-0 for one team and then the other team went 4-0 in the playoffs. it was ottawa btw. look it up
