133 points in his last 82 regular season games going back to 2009-10
- rival22

...and scoring at that rate (a little higher actually) during the 20 games he played this year...1.7 per game = 139 over 82 games...

speaking of skirts...

Milbury said that Bylsma, "should have taken off his skirt" and done more to confront Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette.

"Crosby gets cross-checked, big whoop," Milbury said. "He said after he came back from his 35th concussion, 'I'm not going to do this anymore, I'm not going to get into those scrums, I'm going to stay away from that stuff' but he couldn't help himself because there is a little punk in Crosby. He's not the perfect gentleman, he's not that little sweet kid you see in all those interviews with his hat pulled down over his eyes. I say screw him, hit him."

He wasn’t okay with a rough tackle on our key player Danny Briere, that’s why he went mad.

- canadianpenfan

I thought is was the idea that DJ's isn't going to be selling him ribs anymore that made him go mad.

last i heard of the constitution let everyone have their opinions...

edit: crap your from canada.. you dont know what the rules are

paille's hit wouldnt have been called if he didnt leave his feet, and yes you can argue that his force drove him up into the air but i would like a formula from you to prove that the momentum x force = feet leaving ice after you hit someone..

also yes we have all said letang should have been called on a diving but he wasnt... it goes back and forth for every team.... deal with it... we do when we lose.. you get until 3pm est to be pissed then move on.... ok good...

- nh4442

I've got no issue with the Paille penalty. Hardly dirty, but probably worthy of the 2 minutes he got.

Even with the 5 on 3 and the bogus sell job, B's had plenty of opportunity to even it up. Turco kind of stunk and Johnson was quite good on some pretty glorious chances.

Until recently...the part of the goalie that 'kind of stunk' had been played by Johnson...so it was nice to see him come up big when he needed to.

All things considered...you guys didn't have much to play for...and I would still consider the Bruins the favorite in the East.

As much as all the critics complain about how the East is so poor, the entire top half (minus FLA) are pretty legit cup threats. Not sure there are any favorites at this point, wouldn't be surprised to see NYR, Pitt, Phil, Boston, even Jersey in the SCF.

You honestly think that Paille hit on Niskanen was cheap? Wow.

And praising Letang for faking getting high-sticked? Pretty lame.

- Dano819

He did get high sticked. If you watch the replay you can see the stick actually lifts his upper lip as it goes by. Yes he threw his head back, but the Bruins pull the same crap, so whatever.

The teams in the East seem better suited for long runs than those in the West. Less warts on them.

My guess is that one team from the East and one from the West each have a long run to the SCF.

Don't know why, I just have that feeling.

It is pretty even...but winning last year gives the Bruins an edge I think.

Fatigue is something that could eventually hurt them...that many games in two years can wear on a team...but other than that (or injuries), they're the favorite until someone beats them.

Of the teams you mentioned I think Jersey is the one I wouldn't include. I just don't think Marty has enough gas in the tank to win 3 series. If the Devils make it to the SCF I'd be surprised...it would either be because Marty shows his old form (for more games than I think he can)...or the Moose plays a bigger part than I think he will.

It was the prize for winning the hockeybuzz pens thread pool. It was between that and a trip to Mexico, too much violence in Mexico right now.

Today.

Haha, yeah, I know what you meant. I can agree with you. Specifically the Pens, Boston and the Rags.

Y'know someone gave me some crap about being a 'Season Ticket Holder' the other day...not on this blog...

I'd just like to go on record by saying I won the Season Ticket Holder by finishing first in my fantasy league last year...and followed that up with forgetting to enter a team this year (doh!!!)
