if neal is out, why wouldnt you role

kuni sid malkin (or swithc the two)
cooke staal tk
dupes park tangradi
asham vitale adams

??

- nh4442

I think I'd put Staal in Neal's spot, and just make Park the third line center with TK & Cooke.

Kunitz - Malkin - Staal
Tangradi - Sid - Dupuis
Cooke - Park - TK
Asham - Vitale - Adams

i am still concerned with the recent changes to the PP or lack of PP. I am glad Letang is back on but that experiment was terrible. is it totally out of the question to have two #1 units? Malkin on one on the half wall and Sid on the other? It doesnt seem like there is enough space for both.

i dont understand the milbury comments. He almost choked jeremy roenik out when he would not agree that letang was hit high in the dallas game but then said sid embellished his concussion status. he specifically sited that the nhlpa reported more than 1,100 concussions last year and that it needs to be addressed if they want to keep the talent on the ice and then does the bylsma/crosby thing on the radio. what is that about? i dont understand the mixed message.

What they do away from the rink is not my concern. Its not like im tuning in at 7pm est to watch them play golf.
It doesnt appear Letang takes his golf too seriously considering he is wearing flip-flops.

All that needs to be understood is that he is a moron.

I'm hoping Neal didn't break his hand on Chara's helmet in the fight....I was cringing on every punch.

Neal's absence is interesting/of concern -- this is a big two points tonight, seems like the Pens would be going all out for the win.

The great thing is that it is still going like it has something to proove and I get to drive 40 minutes to a hall for my Grandma's funeral. We're taking the wifes SUV, my Alero would never make it.

At this point, its more important to make sure everyone is healthy for game 1, which by all accounts is probably not going to be for another week.

Yeah - hope both the Pens/Flyers are fully healthy for that series (assuming they meet).

Interesting about Neal... didn't notice him being banged up the other night.

Remember back when Neal had a 'broken foot' that turned out to be a bruise...

You can play on a broken foot...depending on the location, the pain, and whether or not playing will result in further injury...

My guess is that Neal broke a bone in their somewhere...and he's been playing on it...maybe it has been acting up and they want to rest it...seeing that even if they lose tonight, they still would be a point up on Philly.

If they lose and Philly wins...I'm guessing Nealer could play in the season finale. If Saturday's game is meaningless...Nealer's out until next week.

Byslma said "lower body", so I'm guessing the hand is ok?

I believe his foot is still broken, is it not? Not that anyone can tell based on his play since the injury...

He probably got a nice bonus for potting 40g. No need to play from now til the playoffs.

Oh you're absolutely right. The pens have never had the outcome of a game effected by a poor call. Next time will be the first and will definitely be followed by a whiny letter from the owner. Moron. It happens to everyone. Sucks. Get over it.
- schiefer466

Right, it does happen to every team. I was making a joke, because of the ridiculous comments the blogger made and it works because Mario is no stranger to writing a whiny letter threatening to leave the NHL. It was a joke. Moron. Get over it.

Looks like they are driving up to the start... you can see golf shoes in between some feet in the last photo... I think its safe to say they were going to put on golf shoes when they start playing.
