If the Penguins lost a game on a play like Letang's, Mario would be writing a stern letter to the NHL about the integrity of the game and wondering if he should be a part of it anymore.
For a hockey fan to say "well done" about that play is laughable to me, but I respect your opinion. With that said, the Penguins look like a very dangerous playoff team right now and it is good to see their concussed players return to playing. The Staal line does their job perfectly and are pretty fun to watch.

It has happened to every team many, many times. No letters written by mario or any other owner about it, sorry.

Stop it with the letter to the NHL. That is childish. Do you really think Mario would do that?

As far as the play-offs, I'm still not convinced we are playing well enough to do damage. Can we? Sure. I don't think we played that well against Boston. We sure as hell didn't play well against Ottawa, either game versus the Islanders and made a ton of mistakes to hand the game to Philly.

We haven't played well since the streak ended, not a single 60 minute effort like we saw for 10+ games. I'm hoping it's just a lull and that they'll turn it on when the stakes get high. I would be more comfortable if i was seeing it now.

Oh I wish, won't get over for at least 12 months, got few things in line for work that need to get settled before I/we can head over again.

I am doing my playoff beard though!

We haven't been playing well for a couple of weeks because the Pens haven't adjusted to how they're being defended. If Bylsma doesn't adjust his system/game plan, they'll be toast in the playoffs.

If anybody remembers back in '92-'93, the pens had to come back against the Caps because they couldn't beat the caps playing their usual aggressive system. The Pens, down 3-1, had to retreat to a 1-2-2 and sit back, clog the neutral zone and create turnovers. (this by the way is exactly what teams are doing to us right now) The result was two teams playing a similar style, but the Pens sheer talent smoked them in the next 3 to take the series.

Bylsma needs to get conservative, 'cause other teams figure they can't out score the pens, but they certainly can out-defend them. Furthermore..... add the return of obstruction, that's a double whammy to an aggressive forecheck.

It was just a joke, I wouldn't ban him. He's one of the good ones. Plus he has 87 in his name so you know deep down he has some Pen love. He'll tell you it's his birth year but I'm pretty sure that's just his cover.
