I'd like to move on from jagr. He was a lot of fun this year. I had him at around 60 pts so he was right there with my expectations. I'd just like to find another young winger to go on that top line
- Just5

It depends on what the offseason moves are, really. If they seek the trade route to bolster the blueline and offensive pieces are going the other way, he'd be a free (asset wise) option to keep the forward position stocked.

Hockey is too strange of a sport to say that a less physical series with a inferior opponent would mean less injuries, than say a physical barn burner with the Pens. I see the pros of playing the Cats in the first round as a bit of a lesser of two evils and healing up some players in the process. I was just never one to try and finagle playoff match-ups. I want the Pens, in round 1, and after working them in 4 then you get your rest and healthiness.

i agree, and in the end i don't care who they play. whatever happens, happens.

I don't care either because there's nothing that I can do about it, so I'll just enjoy whatever comes our way as well.

That said, if I could choose between the Pants and Pittsburgh in the first round, it'd be a no-brainier for me.

that's all i was saying - is the flyers have a better chance against florida. the flyers should have plenty of confidence against pittsburgh, and regardless of their opponent, i just hope they get some bodies back.

i prefer pepper jack, but havarti is always good, too. sharp cheddar, buffalo mozzarella, montery jack, meunster....any of those will work.

You didn't like the way that toronto fan broke down the upcoming series in tiers earlier?
It made perfect sense to me.

Agreed. If he turns it up in the playoffs, I'll take it back, but right now his play annoys me for some reason.
- wilsonecho91

Teams know to throw three guys at him when he's skating the puck up the ice. For some reason, he's bad in open ice traffic - he tries to do it all himself and coughs it up 9 times out of 10 (or so it seems to me).

He's fine cycling along the wall in the O-zone, though.

Yep. For me, Jagr has been a pleasant surprise. I think he's helped the team beyond what he does on the ice and the stat sheet. He's provided a fantastic work ethic example for all our youngsters, and he's been great with the media too. I would definitely be looking to bring him back for a more reasonable hit.

I wouldn't do another $3.3M deal, but if he signs for $2M or so, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Then I'd tell him to stop trying to stickhandle through 4 defenders and to just get the damn puck deep when the D collapses on him.

Couldn't agree more. Pronger has a certain influience on a dressing room and since we were lucky enough to sign Jagr just in time for Pronger's possibly career ending injury (No offense to him), Jagr has brought influence of his own. Just a real impressive presence to look up to for our young squad.
