Not saying that Kassian can be graded simply on his career thus far but I just don't see him becoming anything more than a guy that's tough to play against that pots 10-12 goals a year.

Why would you stoop as low as to think that one team gets the benefit of tainted officiating? What proof do you have that the refs make calls there, because of the pressure from the crowd, and not just because the refs in the NHL downright putrid? I mean, I get that it helps take the sting out of a loss (not this year though), but other than that...

I don't have proof but I do have Center Ice.

And I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Wow what a finish last night. You guys can't complain about refs for the rest of the year after that 20 second scrum before the tying goal. There's no way the ref could see the puck the whole time. He didn't even see the puck go in the net. He only looked in the net after the horn went off.

Should be a great finish this weekend. Hopefully it all comes down to Saturday.

In all seriousness I watch a lot of hockey. I have watched a lot of hockey since the mid-late 70's when I was old enough to know what I was watching.

Whenever I watch the Hab's it's just a given that there is going to be a couple questionable calls per game that go the Hab's way.

It is what it is.

I've watched hockey since the early-mid 70s, when the Habs dominated the league. I know it was because of the French players they were allowed to draft and the refs.

In all seriousness, what you are seeing isn't happening. There is no reason for it, and there is no logic to it.

I'm thinking like a Mel Bridgeman or maybe a Scott Mellanby type player.

I did LOVE Mellanby though. Thought Buffalo should have picked him up when he was in his last few years.

Tonight's game was insane. The arena was ROCKING at the end of it. Definitely a great game to have gotten to go to! This is exactly why I love having my season tickets.

you can't deny the ref was right there with his eye right where the puck was...

you can see him a couple of times move his arm to blow the whistle, but the puck comes free and he pulls back

Reason and logic have nothing to do with it. It's about human emotion relating to a mob mentality.

It does happen. It probably happens in all arena's at one time or another. It just happens in Montreal much more often.

But at the same time, if human emotion is involved, isn't it possible that if your team loses to another team, you want to blame someone other than your team? I think all fans do this.
BTW, Habs are the 3rd most penalized team in the league this year - 12th most at home.
