I'm pretty impressed with that Cody kid we got as a throw in with that sweet Sulzer deal. He had an assist last night and might just be a quality addition to this team. Can't believe the Nucks let go of Sulzer for what they did!! Good job Darcy

I'm so sick of teams retaliating from clean hits, like McNabb's hit on Lambardi. - Chipd
THIS!!!
If they keep that moronic instigator rule in then at least throw it out there in situations like this. That cement head Rosehill should have easily had the extra two. I believe that's what Pommer was so adamant about when talking to the refs after the play and I'm pretty sure that is why Lindy was so pissed after the penalties were put up. If nothing else changes in the off season this should be addressed

I mean I do understand why Philly fought Pitt after the hit on 48, the whole point of that Pitt line being on the ice was to injure.
But when clean hits happen and they get mad it makes the NHL look bad. There were at least 3 cases like that last night!

I've been saying that for a while now...but that sort of thing is lauded by players as part of the mythical "code" that exists in the league. The players don't realize how dumb it makes them look.

I suppose we were supposed to put the Crosby, Malkin, or Staal line out there down 3 goals with a minute left? Craig Adams and Joe Vitale being goons is news to me.

Yeah, I never understood why the coaches got blamed on that incident. That being said, if you're going to wait until you're down by 3 with 2 minutes to go to "send a message", you can't expect crap not to hit the fan.

The Sabres did the same thing against OTT in 2007?

That wasn't when the game was already out of hand, though, and the hit was questionable, at least. This one was clean without a doubt. The only problem with it is that it was done when it didn't mean anything.
