a fan hoping for a better pick and the team sucking are not related. We have no control over what actually happens on the ice, so what does hoping for a loss really change? - senstroll
*waits for someone to say UFAs won't ever come to play in Toronto and the negative fans and media are to blame* |

if the fans hoping for a loss did affect UFAs coming to toronto, that would have affected the team in a positive way... Burkes FA signings are terrible.

asp tell me you saw that tying goal? a good dozen seconds of the puck being impossible to see then wham its in, lol it was paperweight reffing.
what blew my mind was thinking...if we actually needed this win...i would have lost my poop. - Neiler
The best part is that the ref, presumably, had sight of the puck...
but he was the last to know when it was in the net.
It might be the worst call I have seen, ever; for sure the worst I have seen this year. |

Yup.
Burke loves to sugarcoat bullsh it. Ever notice that Burke's FA signings or minor trades for the most part are guys that have been basically run out of town?
- Komi: Wasn't the same since fighting Lucic... Run out of Mtl.
- Liles: Playing nowhere near potential... Run out of Col.
- Lombardi: Injury prone and with a fat cap... Run out of Nash.
- Connoly: Injury prone... Run out of Buf.
- Armstrong: Injury prone... Run out of Atl.
- MacArthur: Wanted too much money... Run out of Buf.
- Phaneuf: Attitude and underperformance... Run out of Cal.
Notice that these guys are pretty much who we're looking to trade, bury or RUN OUT OF TOWN? |

Liles has been playing well, that was a great pickup for a 2nd rounder.
Edit: Also been very happy with MacArthur.
Also we had to take Lombardi to get Franson. |

Liles is on pace for his worse season, statistically... |

Not trying to be negative, it's no secret how and why the Leafs acquired these players and that each of them are problem areas that need be be addressed in the off-season. In all cases, the contract/salary cap hit simply does not equal the expected performance levels on and off the ice.
It sucks, but it's the truth!... Is it not? |
