asp tell me you saw that tying goal? a good dozen seconds of the puck being impossible to see then wham its in, lol it was paperweight reffing.

what blew my mind was thinking...if we actually needed this win...i would have lost my poop.

- Neiler

but we needed the loss so for once poopty reffing paid off

id have rather lost in regulation!!!

but yeah, at that point when it was 5-4 for the leafs, i thought ah well, as long as we lose the next 2! but in all seriousness, that tying goal was by far the worst NHL goal ive ever seen. why not just write a few players numbers on the scoresheet and give them a free goal, its much better than that circus i saw on the ice last night.

Well, usually, the play doesn't stop if the ref can see the puck.
Because you don't see it on TV doesn't mean the guy on the ice doesn't see the puck is still "alive".

I haven't seen the play, just trying to see why the ref didn't call the play dead.

At the same time, the Sabres are in a battle for a playoff spot and I would say the ref probably didn't want to decide by a bad call that they wouldn't make the playoffs. Unconsciously, of course.

I was so pissed when it was 3-0 ...

thank god we managed to piss that lead away... I dont care how it went down at this point in the season...just lose the game. Everyone around us got a point also, so we are pretty much in the same spot as yesterday. We just need NYI to pass us, then we will be in decent shape

If Islanders pass us and we end up picking 4th, we'll most likely get Galchenyuk or Grigs.

All I gotta say is Gardiner is going to be a star. That poise, stickhandling, speed, and vision? Diggity... the defensive game will come, but I had a semi for most of that 3rd period.

yea, saw the highlights and it was a nice goal. Kid should be damn good in a few years...aslong as he doesnt...... ......slump.....as we continuously see with players in Toronto.

missed the game though....took the wife to see Hunger Games...went to the VIP section and had a pitcher of beer to myself with the movie. Why? Why not!

ISS has Gally at 16th. I say Forsberg, most NHL ready according to some.

this is all I am praying for, at least have a chance at one of the top Centers. If we are 5-8, we have to rely on luck or moving more assets to move up, or Burke trading the pick

I bet Edmonton fcks it up and takes another forward... they dont seem to have any plan or direction outside of take the best player, or the balls to make a move.

No, we weren't. Schenn was always "going to be a top shutdown guy in the league"; there's no reason why he can't and I think most of us would be happy with a 3/4 solid shutdown guy ala Gill/Philips.

Gardiner has tools that Schenn simple does not and never will; I would never draw that comparison.

Its probably a lot like when cowan was hurt, would have went in the top 5..but dropped to 9th. Rigth now Cowan looks better then the Kadri pick... that could change, but cowan on the team now would open some options.

No way Burke's moving that pick, not after the Kessel circus that continues to haunt him (and will likely be the defining move of his legacy).

I don't know if I'd call a shutdown guy a star or not, just not shiny enough of a role is it?
