the puck was in play the whole time, the goalie never had it. it was bouncing around until it was under foligno for about three seconds then leopold dug it out and pushed it in the net. don't believe me? how bout you head over to tsn and they will show you in super slow mo, that the puck was indeed in play. don't know why you are all whining, you wanted to lose and you did. - LizzyJo
Irrelevant.
The ref CLEARLY lost sight of the puck. When that happens, the ref is to STOP THE PLAY.
Watch the replay again and watch the ref's delayed reaction to the puck going in the net. Does that look like he could see the puck?
The puck being loose and the ref maintaining a visual of the puck are two completely different things.
Class dismissed. |

I indulged the preteen girl in all of us and read the Hunger Games series. I read the first one when I was in Mexico with the GF because she was reading it and I finished Playing With Fire in the first two days we were there. So I Figured Id read the rest. Not well written, but intriguing enough story.
Im going to get the GoT book at lunch now haha. |

Even when it went sliding 6feet to his left and his head didnt follow it? Then he suddenly noticed it when everyone started cheering.

becase Buffalo sucks and couldnt even beat the leafs in regualtion... the refs had to give you a goal that would 99/100 times be blown dead because the ref didnt see the puck.
Why couldnt you just win both games...I mean its against the worst team in the league the past 2 months...with 6 regulars out of the lineup... - senstroll

HD TV is good, but not good enough for you to to see exactly what the Ref can or can not see.
The ref also doesn't have to call the whistle the moment he loses sight of the puck, if that was the case the game would be stopped everytime a puck hits a black pair of goalie pads. |

go to tsn.
also since the ref knew the goalie absolutely did not have the puck, if it was covered up he would have been forced to call a penalty shot and you all would be female doging bout that. |

Oh, is that why the puck was in the net for a few seconds before he realized it?
Delayed reaction = Lost sight of the puck = Whislte should have blown... CASE IN POINT!!!
Even the Sportsnet panel was saying that this play should/would have been blown down 99.99% of the time!
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that the Leafs didn't get the extra point, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a bullsh it call. |

A. Liles has more to do with his injury than contract. I dont buy into the fact players put their feet up when they sign a new deal.
B. Mac has been what was expected, no more no less
C. Lombo sucks, but I feel it has allowed our prospects to actually develope another season with him an connolly taking spots.. sure it sucks, but the leafs never take the proper time with prospects, and fans want results now from them - senstroll
A little reminder from the Preds blog:
Lombardi played in his 60th game of the season Tuesday, resulting in the Predators getting the Maple Leafs’ fourth-round pick in the 2013 draft.

The Buffalo Homers were saying the opposite of course thats not saying much since they couldn't read the freaking numbers on the back of the jerseys all night. |

The point is that this was clearly a terrible terrible terrible call. 9.9/10 times the ref blows that dead.
WAAAAAY less gets blown dead in almost every game. I saw a play blown dead on Saturday because the puck hit the inside of the goalies glove even though it "hit" the inside and immediately fell out to the side of the net where the ref didnt see it. |

And Lombardi for a 4th rounder and Brett Lebda who is now on the Blue Jackets. Of course losing that 4th rounder will come back to haunt us. Will probably be the 2nd coming of Marcus Foligno. |

It has nothing to do with being homers. Their combined age is 236 - they can't see anything. |
