Not trying to be a troll, but I don't think you guys get in. Playing Boston and Philly next 2 games. Going to be tough. - jbold
Philly worries me, but Boston really doesn't have anything to play for at this point. They won't play Thomas in the last game and why would they risk playing Chara or perhaps some of their other stars in a nothing game?
Is that really the reason why he's at center? - TheSabresTaco
Ennis was a natural center, more so than Leino and Boyes, but was not getting the chance to play there ahead of those guys and Adam. Small guys work out better playing down the middle...watch what happens with Catennacci....he is Ennis all over again....Adams recognized this and the need to have a tough guy on each line, hence the roles of Trop, Foligno and Kaleta increasing.
Ruff is smart he listens to his coaches, not necessarily right away, but he listens to what they suggest!
We're up against 2 teams fighting for something.
Rangers are in cruise mode now. - Purple Eagle
If WAS needs to win against Rags to make the playoffs, Rags will not be laying down. There is no way they take a game off against the team they would be playing three days later in a seven games series
Ok, that was just absolutely ridiculous, this is how people have heart attacks and/or go out on gun shooting sprees!!!
But congrats to the guys for gutting it out, I know we were having fun ripping the Sabres in the first period, but I think we all knew the Sabres were going to score, was a matter of how many.

The Philly game is the breaker for me, unless they play VERY good, we just don't seem to match up well with Philly at the moment, usually JVR and or Giroux end up just skating where they want to and doing what ever they want to, at least Briere won't be there, to score his 2 customary P/P goals.

There were a handful of us dating back to last season that said put Ennis at center. We received a lot of tension because Roy is small and Ennis is even smaller. But look whats it done for us.
You can look at the last 2 games a few different ways and depending on your outlook you will want entirely different outcomes on Thursday.
1) You think the Sabres can win out. If you believe that you want Florida to win Thursday. Regulation, shootout, or OT doesn't matter.
2) You don't think the Sabres will beat Philly but will beat Boston. If that's your feeling you want Florida to win Thursday and hopefully Washington doesn't get a point. This would also require a Rangers team who will be resting Lundqvist to beat Washington on Saturday.
3) You think the Sabres will beat Philly but not Boston. Again hope for the Panthers to win in regulation and hope the Rangers beat Washington Saturday also.
There is a scenario if we win on Thursday where we could go into Saturday with both Washington and Florida on the radar. If Washington beats Florida in regulation we would get in if we beat Boston and Washington loses or if Florida loses in regulation. Pick your poison and cross your fingers. At least this team has made it interesting.
