Yeah but it finally showed emotion from crappy...
- kindlyrick

I agree it finally showed he gave a crap about something. But between that and demoting Tavares (which is moronic) to the fourth line..where the hell was that all year when games actually mattered? It's nice to know the emotion is somewhere deep down inside him but he might want to try showing some of that when games actually matter.

Amen. He risks pissing off the one superstar on the team in JT. Cappy could not be bothered to change the lines when the team was scoring one goal a game for months now at the end he wants to be a coach?

You're right.......I think he wanted to, but didn't wanna rock the boat. He slipped a few times this season.....no way he didn't wanna bench certain guys when it mattered. He's a yes man...

I'm not worried about pissing him off, he did take an offensive zone penalty that led to a PP goal against. But to not really bench or change lines (unless the entire line went stale) all season, and then demote the one guy who busts his ass every single night and carries the team on a regular basis is just dumb.

Buffalo, in a crucial game, is losing to Toronto 3-0, that's much worse.

Way worse. What a terrible time to not show up. Especially with the Flyers and Bruins coming up to close out the season.

The Flyers aren't much worse as this is for home-ice advantage.

Maybe the Rangers are doing the Pens a favor for not overtaking first place from them?

Kovalchuk keeps doing that, let the guy go in front of the net with regularity. It hasn't cost him yet, but he's slacked off as of late, he's pretty good on 5-on-5 play and more aware, but he is still reluctant to tie anyone up at all.

I am rooting for Carolina tonight too.

Any combination of three point gain or lost by the Sens clinches no lower than 6th for the Devils

The DAL/SJ game was supposed to be a sellout..I'm interested to see how many people show up. I saw one of the Sharks beat writers tweeting earlier in the day that there was a tornado heading right at the American Airlines Center

Yeah, there was a tornado in that area, I would assume they would cancel the game if that's the case?

If they have to make it up at the end of the year, that could be playoffs or no playoffs.

EDIT: Overturned, much to the dismay of Ottawa fans.

Donovan getting a nice amount of ice time tonight and he looks pretty damn good. I have to imagine he'll be here full time next year. I'm excited to see him in person on Thursday.

From the two times I saw DeHaan he looked very good as well. Isles still need at least one big hitter on D.

(frank)ing Josefson got hurt again.

Second time this season, third time in the last two years.

Broke his wrist last year, fractured his clavicle (collarbone) earlier this year, and fractured his wrist tonight.....

That means Boulton or Janssen will have a regular spot on the fourth line, making the fourth line ineffective.

I saw that, I didn't even see what happened.

Anyway, Donovan looked good so I'm happy. Hate to lose but if it helps our draft pick I'm not particularly bothered by it
