Lol at Rosehill. Surprised no instigator, it was a good hit. At least that's a good tradeoff. |

What can you teach then! - Timeforsoup
At this level you can teach offensive and defensive awareness. You can't improve on someones skill by the time they hit the NHL. If your foot speed and puck handling is awkward after 16 years of hockey, there isn't much an NHL coach is going to be able to do for you. You may improve but it'll be marginally so. I don't care if you get kurt browning to teach Hal Gill to skate, he's not going to be a mobile guy.
Systems is what they teach in the NHL, not improving someones individual game. Can players like kadri improve by getting stronger physically? Certainly. But can a player like Joey Crabb become as gifted as Kadri offensively through hard practice? No.
Luke Schenn is not going to miraculously improve his skating and puck handling by leaps and bounds just cause he's got an NHL coach now. |

Especially if Halak is the reason why they do well in the playoffs, which is something he's done before. - Unholy_Goalie
A good playoff run for him would cement him as one of the better goalies in the league, not up their with guys like Lundqvist and others but on the high end of second tier guys. Plus, a good run for the blues would do wonders for the fan base. They had no trouble making money when the had guys like Hull, Oates Joseph etc. The fans are there but varies with the teams success. They don't have the advantages of big market teams. |
