Kypreos caught too many punches with his face to think and check their cap situation.

The Blues payroll goes from 54 million this year down to 35 million next year. They have veterans like Arnott, Jackman and Lagenbrunner all becoming UFAs and they all make 2 to 3.6 million a year. Halak makes 3.5 million a year.

There is no way the Blues trade away Halak for something like that, regardless of their financial situation. Just doesn't make any sense.

blues good team, if they dont continue to spend more and to the cap they wont be able to compete with the other western powers.

thats tough, schenn's played better, could still turn out, wouldnt want to risk dealing him to be honest

another guy who might be up for trades is kipper (if CGY misses the playoffs, which im pretty sure they are all but eliminated at this point) a guy like kipper could do wonders with reimer, not to mention rynnas since they are both from finland (and with rynnas big body (6'5) i'd def love for him to have a great mentor in kipper)

Also the revenue from playoff games that they haven't gotten in a few years will cover Halak's salary and then some.

Especially if Halak is the reason why they do well in the playoffs, which is something he's done before.

The things that hinder Schenn is not inexperience which will improve over time. It's natural ability. His skating is terrible and awkward. Awkward passing and puck handling. These are things you are born with and unfortunately he's just not very gifted. It's why I refer to him as the tin man cause his movements tend to resemble him.

However, I do love his toughness. That is something you can't teach. A player like Bozak is always going to be scared to death and play with no physicality whatsoever no matter how much you ask him to play a little tougher and go to the front of the net and win those battles in along the boards. Just will never happen with Bozak. Does he make a nice play here and there? Certainly, but his tendency to shy away from the rough stuff is frustrating to say the least. THe goals that guy could score if he'd just go to the damn net would be so much more

i thought so but wasnt 100% since if they won both games and everyone else lost they'd be tied for pts with 8 but 8 prob has more regulation wins
