Things that bug me:

1) Lance Brown doing this interview - kicking the Leafs while they are down is the easiest thing to do - why doesn't he interview his bosses and ask them why they just teamed up with a competitor and bought a chunk of MLSE. The question he asked Gus was awful.

2) The players on the ice will never tank. The GM and coaches purposely putting less talented payers in the lineup for weird reason is the best way of tanking (Habs\Price\headaches).

3) People who post on here to say goodbye to everyone - "later bro, I'm out" - who cares

4) People who respond to the people in #3

5) tv shows like Shameless who have a kick-ass 1st season then turn into a drama in the next seasons focusing on the emotions and struggles of the characters instead of staying with what got the show popular; nudity, sex and bad-asses (Sopranos, Eastbound& Down are other examples)

I actually feel Buffalo has a pretty good shot at taking the Rangers. Miller found his game in the second half of the season and if Lundqvist isn't stealing games every night I think Buffalo will match up well with them. I would rather see Ovi and company get a shot (more exciting hockey imo) and the rag on few select Sabres fans.

It's probally in Van city, so I estimate that will happen in a playoff round or two.

Sabres are a better team than the caps. no question. Caps deserve to miss the playoffs. They are a soft team with a bunch of europeans who don't care enough.

It's a ridiculous comment from a borderline bigot (Cherry). The Leafs have drafted more Ontario born players then any other team in the league since Burke arrived. What was he supposed to do, sign Ontario born UFA's simlpy cause it's cute and they're available. Hell no, he signed who he believed was the best available player that he could get at the time.

And I agree with what was already said about the free agent signings...at the time they were uncontested signings save for maybe Connolly, but that was a stop-gap with some potential.

I think it's more like as long as you don't speak english and aren't Canadian it's fine. But that mostly the media stiring up poop and some parts of the province.

I understand it to a certain extent. They feel (and are) a minority group in Canada and want to be well represented.

most of the canadian teams suck at drafting and developing players. and thats the main reason why most of them are missing the playoffs

A couple years ago, a meaningless win was the difference between drafting Brayden Schenn and Nazem Kadri. Does that respect matter now or do the players matter? The players do.

The point Cherry was making was based around the EXCUSE that Burke makes about how hard it is to play at home. Burke originally said that playing at home is harder than anywhere else because of all the home town boys that come to play harder against the Leafs. Cherry responded to that LOGIC by saying, if home town boys play harder in Toronto, then why is your team littered with Americans? Half of it is sensationalism but Cherry just followed Burke's logic and made him look stupid. Yes, Burke has drafted players from Ontario but as far as using it as an excuse as to why opponents are harder to beat at home, it doesn't hold any water. It's a flimsy excuse and it's one that both MacLean and Cherry called him out on.

The respect for this team was lost a couple months ago when they totally cracked under the pressure and poop the bed. Winning the last three games means nothing and only hurts our draft position. Although a still would like to see Kessel get to 40, but not enough to screw up our draft position.

The Leafs have a horrible habit of winning games when it doesn't matter anymore. People throw the words like "pride" and "respect" around and it doesn't mean anything anymore. Pride and respect come from winning games when they actually matter. The only thing wins do for the Leafs at this point is hurt them.
