I don't want or need Burke to apologize.

What I want is Burke to genuinely get the roster out from the limitations he's put on with his FA signings. I don't want BB talking to the media or to the fans about what he's going to try and do at the draft, or what he's going to try and do July 1st.

I want BB to find a way to:
1) free the roster and the team CAP hit of Mike Komisarek. 4.5M CAP
2) free the roster and the team CAP hit of Tim Connolly's "contributions". 4.5M CAP
3) free the roster and the team CAP ht of Mathew Lombardi. 3.5M CAP
4) free the roster and the team CAP hit of Colby Armstrong. 3.0M CAP

these moves, or at least three of them are a necessity - however BB does it - to reconstructing the roster and leadership of the team going into next season.

5) I want BB to find a way to acquire a goaltender with some experience ahead of July 1st... by perhaps trading for a players rights.

6) I want BB to find a trading partner for Carl Gunnarson or J.M Liles if he's going to go after Suter.

7) I would like to believe that BB could land a 1C, but I don't see it happening - and not at the expense of the 1st this year OR two higher end prospects. If he can't land a 1C - then consider signing Jason Arnott for a season - if he doesn't retire.

8) Please no discussion of Brandon Dubinsky. None, Not even one lame rumor.

9) Brandon Prust yes.

Yep. Thought he might have unloaded some weight at the deadline to teams looking to make the playoffs. Injuries hurt that though.

I would try and trade Lupul before I trade Kessel.

Lupul is at his highest value right now.

Buy low sell high.

Biggs and Ashton are going to look great on the 3rd line one day.
- Unholy_Goalie

What was the book on Foligno when drafted?
What was the book on Biggs?
What was the book on Ashton?'
What was the book on Kassian? If Kassian isn't dealt to VCR - does Foligno get a shot?

What was the book on Kaberle?
What was the book on Strahlman?
What about Tlusty?

Please think before blurting out some jibberish about "learning to read", "my new keyboard" or how you gummed up the older keyboard!

This team is dying on the vine without a #1 Centre and a #1 Goaltender. Those players are building blocks, core pieces. Kessel, though a good goal scorer, is not a franchise type core player to build around.
- triggermartin

This is 100% correct.

Fact is, it's a lot easier to acquire another player like Kessel than it is to acquire a legit center. The Leafs would be far better off flipping Kessel on some stupid, unsuspecting GM and then do what they did to get Kessel if and when they guarantee they won't tank while doing it.

Who should the Leafs get for a goalie & #1 center?

What price would they have to pay?

The Leafs seem hell bent on finishing out of the lottery. Not only have they given their fans the gift of one of the worst skids in post lock out hockey but they now seem determined on screwing up failure as well. With a large chuck of the line up out to injury Toronto has shown once again how good they can be when games don't matter.

We need to build from the draft which we've avoided for years. The only way to obtain affordable cap friendly superstars is by drafting them. The Leafs however do not believe in this, because they either draft in poor position or draft poorly, or worse trade away their best picks of two decades. We have a shot at Nail and maybe Alex but will most likely get a lesser Forsberg.

I'm tired and need a break from this crap

I wish the Leafs lost in regulation but at least now when Buffalo loses their last two games it will be that much funnier.

I've been saying that if we finish bad enough he is going to try and switch with edmonton since they need a defensemen

Yeah but do you really want to trade a player like that? IMO he was the best leaf this year by far. I loved the heart he always showed up.

Get it done, and get it done now Burkie.

Time to become a salary floor team, announce Rynnas as our starter, and re-hire wilson as the coach. Do want!
