Link carpetmansteve posted. Just watching that is very disappointing. Especially when he asks luke schenn what he has to say to all the fans and luke replies " I dunno" or "I dont want to comment on that" Speaks volumes about a guys character. Hell, bryzgalov apologized directly to his team and the fans after one poor night of goal tending. If only this team had some passion.
We're playing for respect now!!! If we win these last 3 games, it'll mean something.
We need to finish strong because we need to prove to ourselves that we can win. We need to show we are learning the new systems, and that we care not for the fans that cheer for us and pay our paycheques. Luke Schenn was asked what he would say to the fans that just forked out $400 + to watch them play, and had no comment.
They have been taught that it is just a game, there is no urgency, and it is my belief that they are so far removed from the fan base that they don't think we have any bearing on the game. They fail to see the connection. A smug smile translates into: "It's just a game, quit making so much life or death crap about it." I can live with that attitude if the ticket prices come down so father's can take their kids without working 2 months of overtime to pay for them. If the vending concessions come down so you your hotdog and beer don't cost as much as a steak dinner at The Keg.
The Leafs have long made light of their fan base, and not since Dougie Gilmour promised to do something more for us in the playoffs have I felt like the players really gave a damn.
The only way to hurt the rich is in the wallet. You want a better product? Stop giving them money for a crappy one.
Same holds true for gas prices, if we all stayed home for one day and did not purchase anything or pay for gas, or do banking. Gas prices would fall. A North American strike to protest the richest elite's lack of responsibility, or even a global scale, would be the next best thing to modern revolution.
sorry to go on a rant but I'm getting fed up with being screwed!

unfortunately with all the call ups, those guys want to prove something not just lay down and get run over. i dont want a win tonight but i can foresee it happening scrivens wants to prove he can be a back up next year, colborne wants to prove he could step in and play a #1C role (ps. I wonder if he plays center with kessel or if he'll be 2nd line), frattin wants to stay as a 3rd liner, same with ashton, crabbs fighting just to stay in the nhl, even if it means playing 4th line. just to many guys who will be trying up front to score.
our benefit though, our d sucks and they pretty much know they have a spot next season so no one will try extra hard - matt1337
which D is sitting tonite? is Komisarek in ... Leafs need his "leadership".

My first reaction to this was that I was glad he did it...then I realized...WTF was he trying to prove? He's just acting like a tough guy by strong arming people into answering questions that there are no answers to, he simply makes himself look like an ass. What does he expect Schenn to say? We aren’t good enough...? So what does that prove?
The only one who should have answered differently is Phaneuf. Phaneuf should have said something along the lines of "it starts with me, I'm the captain and I am supposed to be the leader of this team by leading by example and getting the guys motivated and I did not deliver on that, I take full responsibility" even if that's not the full reason, it's his job as Captain to take the fall for the team and not do the typical "you lose as a team and you win as a team" crap.
Nobody forced people to spend $400 for a seat, people made that decision themselves.
This city is full of Leafs fans and lacking true hockey fans that know what to expect from a young team. Half these guys are 23 or less and not any where near their prime. There's no franchise player, no #1 centre, no #1 goalie and until semi-recently with Carlyle, there was no system in place for defense.
To expect anything more then exactly what is happening right now is just plain foolish and so very typical of people who are just Leafs fans and not real hockey fans.
Burke is the only one that needs to stand up and say "I thought I had put together a good team, I thought our goaltending was stronger then it was, I take the blame for this season and we will put forth every effort to improve amd make sure we challenge for a playoff spot".
My friend who's a computer wiz got back to me and said my ATI Radeon HD 3400 series graphics card will be fine for Diablo 3. - Domaju
of course Doma, they are making the game so it works on most if not all machines, as long as you have bought a computer in the last ...say 6 years, it will be adequate.
prices for video cards these days are pretty cheap, but nice to know you dont have to upgrade at all! good news.

I get what you are saying... but it never fails to amaze me that the reporters seek out Schenn or some other of the young guys for comments. How's about asking Tim Connolly if he broke a sweat or a nail? Or ask Komisarek what the differences between his slapshot and his pass are? In short , there a quite a few guys who are older, should be more mature. Ask them.
You... hey "Tim (talking to Connolly)", "do you feel at all guilty for taking the 4.5Millon this season"? "any ideas of which charity you'd like to donate it to"?
