i hate both teams. a lot. all i'd care about are the injuries, not who advances. either way, if the flyers got through and had the chance to play them, i'd be thrilled.
- hammarby31

Yeah. I don't really root for other players to get hurt, I just shake my head when the Rangers pretty much go through an entire season unscathed from serious injury to their key players.

wouldn't bother me a bit. his knee on knee with grossmann was intentional. live by the sword, die by whatever means comes to you, i don't give a (frank). scott stevens getting a puck to the side of the head and retiring because of a concussion was great. (frank) you, stevens.
- hammarby31

I only saw the replay a few times...you think the knee on knee was intentional?

i'm not actively rooting for it either, but if it happens, i'm not bothered by it, and i don't feel badly for them. sauer, eminger, and zuccarello (however the (frank) you spell it)...my how did they survive?

Right, I'd love some of that luck.

Agreed. A slapshot could have literally killed him. No blood, he'll probably just have a nice headache for a day or two.

Or some facial fractures is a possibility. Getting hit with frozen rubber traveling 80mph or so, can easily shatter a persons face.

yep. i don't think it was malicious, like he was trying to end his career, but he stuck his leg out. that's not an accident.

They had a serious injury to Staal that was about it. And his own brother did that. The fact a pretzel like Gaborik has a 40 goal season and plays every game is some serious bullpoop.

Was very irresponsible. Can't do that. The hit on Briere, I blame Laviolette. No way should Briere be on the ice in that situation. If I was a member of the media I would have flat out asked Laviolette what is Briere doing on the ice?

The replay I saw I couldn't really tell that, but it wasn't a great angle. If that's the case, that's some serious poop.

Don't worry too much about it. I'd like to see a better angle, but at this point it is what it is. I just hope the timetable for Grossmann turns out to be only 7-10 days...

i hope so too. home ice. road ice. doesn't really matter to me. flyers are better on the road, and have shown the ability to win in pittsburgh. i like their chances either way. without grossmann, those chances take a big hit.

are these staged shots, or real?
- hammarby31

Staged. Which makes it almost as unbelievable as live. These marketing people have no clue.

it's preposterous.

simmonds took another puck up high, in the 3rd on a pp. he continued, so i guess it wasn't bad, but still. give me a (frank)ing break already.

- hammarby31

I know he doesn't care what I think but his helmet needs to be adjusted 1" lower on his head. At this height it almost renders the visor useless.

If it was a Chara slap shot, it would have maimed him. I don't want to see that. A good shot to the chops he had coming to him.
- PLindbergh31

Even after taking a shot directly to his face, he still didn't go down as dramatically as Crosby did after Schenn's little love tap.

Third straight SO for Smith and the Coyotes. I really hope somebody buys them and keeps them in Phoenix.
