No chance in this one. It will be interesting to see how they finish... I'd play G jags timmo and co sparingly

Flyers were shorthanded. Goal ends Jagr's penalty, starts Bourdon & Kubina's

Ah, I forgot they were on the PK.

how isnt the hook waved off from scoring on the delayed call?
- dillpx183

They were already down a man. Goal wiped out the penalty of the guy already in the box (Jagr). So the other two calls stand.

right, i forgot that he was in the box, guess i was figuring you wouldnt be giving up breakaways on the PK since you should have everyone back .

might as well call it a night and rest everyone

Begs the question,

Maybe Bryz should've started against the Slugs instead of the Rags?

- Yosimar89

Well, dealing with rust, the Rangers were not an ideal matchup, and honestly the Flyers stopped playing for stretches.

Horrible turnovers and zone coverage against the Rangers will lead to goals against

Carle having a wonderful view of the play.
- flyer_nutter

Giroux also, as McDonough went right by him to the net. And also a nice turnover by Kubina.

You gotta think Rangers are going to score at least 2 more goals. Fedotenko and Rupp still haven't scored.

I can't blame Bryz ... none of the 4 were truly his fault.

of course, a couple of unbelievable big saves would have been nice.

Not Carle's fault. When a d-man scores like that one of the forwards has lost his check. Clement seemed to think it was Giroux, but I would have thought one of the wings should have been covering the point men. Either way not Carle's fault.
- BringBack25

Carle needs to do a better job of getting in the passing lane. It was a clear open lane to make that pass from behind the net. There was a multitude of breakdowns on the play.

none of this is on bryz.... nice int/cross check call in front there on coburn to make that goal pretty easy
- dillpx183

He hasn't been terrible but he has not been sharp. Way over-committed on the 2nd goal. Fat rebounds in front.

Hell of a climb ahead of them, but anything's possible. First thing's first, gotta get a goal.
