OTL against the sabres and a win against the habs, perfect.
- Oilhab

We basically ruined Sabres season on Saturday. I was there, it was pretty awesome. But now the Leafs really need to lose in regulation tomorrow cause were probably going to beat Tampa Bay on our last home game on Thursday. We've been hammering them all year plus they have to play in Montreal the night before. Then we can go ahead and lose to you guys on Saturday and even drop to the 4th

Colborne has scored 6 goals in his last 47 games in the AHL.....I wouldn't worry about him tearing it up tomorrow night..

Have you learned nothing from the past 7 years in Toronto's world?

Galchenyuk will not be available for the Leafs to draft.

who does Ottawa want in the draft?....I have a feeling we might draft him.

Agreed...but that's also the reason he may be available at a reasonable price.
Sadly...he would be the best center on the Leafs.

- stormeyAlterEgo

...and the Leafs aren't really in a good position to get a legit #1. They need to get lucky and Statsny has been a #1 centre in the past.

Will he go in the first 4 picks? Cause were holding the 5th right now and could even drop to the 4th if we lose this week

i said it last week and il say it again.

i do not like the looks of Colbourne and i see why we got him from Boston, i just dont think hes got it. ive been wrong before tho!

- big_dion

You aren't alone in that assessment. He isn't going to have a significant NHL career.

Eakins has been playing him on the 3rd line and working on his defensive game lately....3rd line center may end up being his ceiling at this point...

honestly though....we should focus our efforts/possible trades on a goalie. I could live with Bozak at #1C for another while if it means getting a legit goalie.

He won't go that low.

Should be a solid draft. Columbus will get Yakupov but then theres also rumours that the Jackets don't want to draft russians anymore. But how could they pass on him at this point?

Looks like Montreal will draft Grigorenko at #2 if they still have it. He plays for Patrick Roy. Draft Grigs, sign him to an entry level deal, then hire Patrick Roy.

Edmonton gets their 2 way offensive d-man from Red Deer in Matthew Dumba at #3

New York also needs a d-man so they'll go for Rielly,Reinhart or Trouba, but if they dont take a d-man then they'll get Filip Forsberg for sure.

Then the Leafs are up.

I suppose that what a player shows at 21/22 is all he will ever be capable of at the NHL level then eh?

Not sure about that. Of course it depends if they want to move him but at 6.6 a year and coming off a couple of mediocre years, I wonder what the market would be.
- stormeyAlterEgo

they aren't going to give him away...... really at the end of the day I'm not all that interested. better options available.

I think the Ducks are actually 5th right now (Leafs beat them head to head) so the Leafs sit 6th.

Official league standings on NHL.com have Leafs at 26th overall. The head to head doesn't count cause its interconference. I believe it goes to the 4th tie-breaker which is +/-. Leafs are at -30, Ducks sit at -24

Who you thinking?

I really doubt Getzlaf and E. Staal are remotely available.

Ribeiro? Roy?

nope.. quite the opposite

3.The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.

Id have to disagree. Maybe if Galchenyuk played all year, but coming off a major knee surgery I don't see teams passing on Grigorenko and Filip Forsberg to take him. I did my draft projection further up on the page.
