lol best spot for lake fishing around that area is in the Hamilton Harbour area, no jokes, water in their is warm and shallow so all the fish go in there to feed/spawn.

perch, sheephead, bass, catfish, crappe and ive caught the odd pike, walleye and yes, trout, salmon and even musky have been caught in the bay.

burke would get killed if he moves a third top ten pick in 3 years.. killed.

he cant justify it... unless its for one of the top 5 centres in the league

- Dozzer

For arguments sake, what if he were to move a pick and prospect/player for a guy like Stastny? Does this go over well you think?

My best was a 13 lb, 31" Laker out of Lake Manitou in '94. Caught it in about 60' dep with a downrigger.

Do you think there's any chance in hell that the Av's would move Stastny for Phaneuf? Both are good, young but overpaid?

Seems to me everyone has him pegged to be a great 3rd line center...It's the thinking players can be more than what they projected to be that usually sets one up for failed expectations...Something thats been going on in leaf nation for years...

If the leafs are drafting 7-8 i would love to see them take Gaunce but my expectations will be for him to be exactly what many think..3rd line center...nothing wrong with that..

i still think reimer has a chance at being a solid goalie, i don't think last season was all luck. sometime goalies (and position players) struggle in their 2nd full season (see jimmy howard) and that goes for every pro sport...he had no pressure on him his rookie year and the world was on his shoulders this season...but that concussion is trouble. he was playing pretty well before he got hurt and now he's a train wreck.

i like lindback...probably too much, haha. his size and raw ability are very intriguing. you also gotta like a kid who can skip the ahl and make the jump from sweden to the nhl at 21. also you might be able to get him for a price a little lower then what ottawa gave up for bishop.

i'd stay away from vokoun. the first time in his career he has pressure to win and he's awful. he never had that kind of pressure and hype in florida and nashville.

I think this is the 47 time you have mentioned him. I am not happy about this season and getting a consolation prize.. Might be a fine player in 3-4 years... We need an Elite player now who we can build around.

what is the high end projection/comparisons of Gaunce?

- senstroll

With all due respect to Hudds and his preference for game style, we don't need any more big guys who are physical and would be happy getting 25ish goals or so taken in the top 10. Right now, we need obscene skill to build around. We have Ross, a
Biggs ,etc. let's let them develop in to the physical role.
