Actually it's probably better for the Leafs if the Habs lose those two ....Leafs will probably pick up a few pts this week so they need Carolina and TBay to do the same.
Minny, Anaheim and the Isles need to win a game or two as well. I'd be plenty pleased with the 4th or 5th seed.

meh.. the worst we can do for draft position is basically to get brendan gaunce.. and thats not bad at all

I think this is the 47 time you have mentioned him. I am not happy about this season and getting a consolation prize.. Might be a fine player in 3-4 years... We need an Elite player now who we can build around.
what is the high end projection/comparisons of Gaunce?

the pessimists will tell you third line checking centre.. optimists will tell you he has the potential to be a top line centre.. thats why depending on whose list you look at.. he's kind of all over the map for projected draft position.
i take the middle road and say second line centre.. but if you cant obtain that true number one franchise guy.. might as well address team needs.. which is size and strength up the middle and someone who drives the net out of habit.. and thats gaunce. |
