why does the nhl.com standings show leafs BELOW the islanders, shouldn't they be above them so we are 6th draft pick, or am i missing something
- tangocash001

NHL.com has them 5th, which is where they currently are. The isles are below us due to less Reg+OT wins.

Actually according to Huddle and Mackenzie, he plays all three forward positions but his pro potential probably lies as a centreman. At least that is what Huddle told me himself and Mackenzie has said on a few draft shows that he is a C.
- wendel13

He's taken 13 face-offs all year long.

Sounds like a center to me.

Too much of a risk for such an important pick.

Forsberg is no more risk than Galchenyuk.

Yes he is. Galchenyuk has been playing in the OHL and doing well. And he actually plays center. Only problem with him is his knee injury and the possibility that playing with Yakupov has made him overrated. Between him and Forsberg, it's clearly Galchenyuk. Easily. I'd even take Ryan Murray or another center like Faksa or Gaunce over Forsberg.

He's already penciled into the Oilers lineup next year.

No a centre but in the 2nd round or a trade for a late 1st rounder, then yes a goalie.

He had a great first year then hurt his knee as a 17 year old, it will probably shave 5 years off his career. I'd take Gal or Forsberg and be happy with either.

The names kicked around by Dreger this morning were Bernier, Schneider, and Lindback. They did discuss the possibility of Luongo being the one dealt if things go badly in the playoffs in Van., and they also kicked around the concept of Kiprusoff moving a little bit, too, depending on which way the Flames go this summer. They Flames now are kind of like the Leafs in '04.
