Look around the 25-30 pick this year, there's not many standouts there. I don't see it as wasting anything to get him, especially when the aforementioned deal involved getting rid of Komisarak.

Nobody is giving up a 1st round pick to get Komisarek. And if a team was stupid enough to give one up in the 25th to 30th range, the Leafs would still be stupid to take Wilson and not take a goalie, something they need much more. They took Biggs last year. They can pass on Wilson this year and get something they actually need for a change.

I bet we'd be 1st in the east with his 2 goals added. He's a junk player on a very good team putting up mediocre numbers.

My dream involving drafting a goalie would be trading MacArthur + for a late round pick and take whomever is still available in Dansk, Viselinski, and Subban (in that order) all potential #1 starting goaltenders. The first two are quite big guys as well.

As for Mike's propositions on the goalies, it doesn't take much to realize it was all systems. Theodore? c'mon... he would have been toskala-like in a Leafs jersey. Lindback is a big good goaltender in the most defensive system in the league (maybe 2nd to PHO?) Speaking of Toskala, he was at the time the best back up in the league when we acquired him. I still don't think a goalie is as important as the defensive game we need to play.
