Understood that they aren't easy to find but if you're spending 1st round picks, make them count. No use in trading an asset to grab a late 1st round pick and using it on Wilson. If you're going to find the next Lucic, find him where Lucic was found; in the 2nd round. If you're going to use a 1st round pick on a power forward, make sure he can score BEFORE you draft him.

By the way, speaking of failed power forwards, Carter Ashton is next. 13 games, 13 penalty minutes, 0 points, -10. Almost as bad, if not worse than Luca Caputi. Another failed power forward experiment.

It's not like the Leafs need defensive defenders like Aulie. You know the guy that "had to be in the Phaneuf deal or we wouldn't have done it".
