Have you seen the financial status of a number of European countries lately?
I'm guessing that sidewalk poop cleaners start at 20 euros an hour and 25 weeks vacation. - As_I_See_It
If we can turn homeless People into free wifi hotspots why can't we find a way to exploit the homeless into picking up dog poop?
Maybe pay 25 cents for every dog turd they pick up and deposit at the bottle depot, who then can recycle that into fertilizer? |

Gaunce and Zharkov are Bulls as well. - AdamFrench
Forgot about Gaunce! Yeah, apparently the Leafs are looking at getting that number 1 goalie prospect in their system so don't be surprised if they trade down if the player they want isn't there. My personal wishlist goes Galchenyuk-Forsberg-Gaunce-Subban-Wilson |

You forgot Suter? - LeftCoaster
0% chance for Suter.
Probably less than 1% for either Parise and Schneider as well. |

I was at the Nucks vs Leafs game this year in Vancouver, Gardiner was the Leafs best player. Still young and makes mistakes but he's gonna be a beauty! If Burke trades him he should be fired on the spot. - LeftCoaster
He soon could be. |

Does Edmonton use the #2/3 pick? or offer it to teams in the 4-7 range depending on whats included with it.
I think Columbus would be silly to trade the #1 pick.. it sounds like the only real lock for a star player. |

I think they will trade down. Most if not all of the other teams in the top 5 will be picking forwards |

Lol yeah, name the last goalie we drafted in the first round? Rask? Oh he turned out like sh!t. Why don't we stop taking older late round and undrafted players and calling them "prospects" and actually draft one with the talent at a young age and see how he develops. Gustavsson, Reimer, Pogge, Scrivens never were supposed to be stars. Even Pogge wasn't a first round pick. |

...and really, what do they know?
Some were rambling on here thinking they could get two 1st and second rounder for him. - Fakepartofme
I could see Tampa offering a 1st (Detroits) and a 2nd for him...but not TWO firsts and a second |

I feel like Burke is going to move up. He likes to do that at the draft. But even if he doesn't we could still probably get faksa with our pick. - maverickJ
Gonna cost to do this, not sure the price, but it wont be cheap. Edmonton are going to want a Dman, and a damn good one, and that is the start of what they will want for that pick. Columbus would be dumb to trade that pick, not saying they wont do it, just saying it would be dumb to do so. They need someone like Yakupov to help fill seats. Habs pick will stay where it is, unless the new GM wants to be lynched. Not sure how much the leafs can actually move up in the draft. Islanders enjoy all the years of drafting in the top 10 in the last 2500 drafts or so, doubt they move their pick. I believe Edmonton is the only team that could even consider it honestly. |

What do you know about either of these guys that qualifies them as a #1C. Leafs tried the mushy, lazy overpaid skilled guy (read Connolly) last year... how'd that work out?
Ribeiro - soft as mush...
Roy - injuries starting t accumulate, little guy, brings little if anything the Leafs don't already have.
Just because the Leafs were stupid enough to pay Connolly 4.5M doesn't mean he's actually a 4.5M player. Neither are Ribeiro or Roy. - BorjeFan4Ever
Missed the point. Although both have put up better numbers then any current Leaf centre ....and, who are you going get that's better. If you say Stastny ...perfect ...now we're back to the beginning of this convo ..thx. |
