Right now its about revenge. They went after our hottest player, so we do the same. I really dont care if Sestito/Shelley/Rinaldo gets suspended come playoff time, they wot be playing. We need to get revenge and show that we arent going to stand for poop like that.
- Sabreshark

No it's not about revenge. It's about the Stanley Cup and the playoffs that start in a week and a half. They showed already that they aren't going to stand for it.

If Grossmann and Briere are out to start the playoffs, I guess the plan would be to replace them with Meszaros and Van Riemsdyk right? RIGGGGHHHHHTTTTT?

- PLindbergh31

If the playoffs start in June.

Not worried about Rex. Danny really concerns me. Beat playoff performer since the lockout. Hes irriplaceable come playoff time. That injury doesnt sound good, i expect him to be out atleast 3 playoff games.

Yeah. And the last thing you need is to get someone suspended for any playoff games. Chill. (And don't you wonder if they had not been all upset and agitated about Rupp and the stupid salute and somehow defending Jags's honor if they'd have concentrated on keeping the damned lead in the WC?)

I want someone going after Crosby/Malkin/Letang. Put atleast 1 of those guys in their (frank)ing place. If they dont do anything about it, i will be pissed.

Id put Rinaldo out there to go after Malkin. Do what it takes. Take the suspension. Do it for Danny.

No the plan is the same as if they were in or out. Show up and play and beat the snot out of the Pens in the Series.

Are we going to cry "woe is me" again? I sure hope the remaining players have a better mindset.

Just amazing.... I truly believe if healthy this was a legit cup contending team the way things were coming together. Yet another season likely derailed by injuries as per usual. When will this franchise get some good luck for once.

I truly believe they can still contend as is. Or at least give it a hell of a run. I'm excited as hell for the playoffs to start. And for the future of this team. I expect Briere and Grossmann to be ready to play.

Some better luck with injuries would be nice (especially for the blue line, oy vey), but I wouldn't say hope is lost for the Flyers. Play hard and stay alive long enough for the cavalry to come to their aid. I'm pretty excited for this postseason!

Hope isn't lost, maybe some of the players will return, but who knows right now. I don't understand how the Briere injury is being labeled a back contusion. I watched the hit several times, and his back never touched the ice. It was reported he was fine yesterday, my guess is today he started feeling concussion symptoms.

Briere left the ice, soon after the initial melee, and went straight back to the room. Something was clearly wrong then. I have the same speculation. The point of impact wasn't his back, nor did he appear to fall on his back. So how did he get a back contusion. Also, being out indefinitely for a back contusion is also suspicious. But it's just speculation at this point. And I'll worry about them not being ready for the playoffs, when it happens. And even then, it will still be the same. They drop the puck and play.

Maybe, I'm not going to jump to conclusions or off a cliff over it. We've still got a roster chalk full of young players who've been stepping up lately, who've done their part in taking it to a red hot Penguins team twice in recent outings.
