Do people actually laugh at these nicknames? It's embarrassing how bad they are.....

Well, you have to take the poster into consideration...I suspect these are about his maximum level of creativity.

You may disagree with me, but unlike Mr Roo, I've at least managed to stay above 5th grade name calling.

I doubt the Flyers will do anything, but the fans are sure going to be clamoring for the head of Joe Vitale.

The Flyers will of course play smarter than that rather than risk suspension or otherwise be penalized with sanctions, but the fans will be after Vitale with a fury.

- MBFlyerfan

I'm not to sure about that... If it gets to the point that Sat is a "meaningless" game, Lavi was so mad.... He might institute the NHL version of bounties....

Very true. A conservative estimate puts your level of name calling at 8th to 9th grade, with brief flashes of 10th grade level. Excellent work.

In all seriousness, this thread is a complete joke today. It's almost enough to make me wish we lose to the Rags again so at least the subject of all the female doging and complaining would change for a while. Never thought I'd long for the good ol' days of "Shelley sucks" and "Trade [insert slumping player name here]" debates.

Cindy Crysby is pretty good. Milkin it, and LaPuntang is pushing it I guess. But my favorite is Ovenchicken.

I tried my best to derail it, but even ice girls won't work against the forces of blind rage.

Congrats to Bryz and Simmonds. Tolstoy was honored as player of the month and Simmonds received player of the week Honors

"It wasn’t ideal for me to fight in that situation, but Danny took a solid hit there and obviously I’m going to go to my player’s defense," he said. "That’s the type of player I am. It doesn’t matter if I have stitches in my eyes, I have to go in there and stand up for my teammate

We're not going to send our tough guys after the Ashams and Goddards on your team... Just like your punks targeted the smallest guy that performs best in the playoffs, we are going to do the same... I cant wait till Crysby's head is rolling around on the ice.... "Which way did he go George...Which way did he go." After that BS yesterday, it would serve you right if Crysby, Milkin it, LaPuntang all go down with injury before the playoffs.
- RooNosHockey

None of that is going to happen. And I don't want any of them injured. I want them on the ice and playing.

Hopefully he will be okay for the playoffs. Pittsburgh coach said Schenn took a cheap shot on Crosby. Guess his guys do no wrong to warrant that.
- stveshdy

Of course he said that. He's supposed to stand by his players. Just as Laviolette is his. All this is about is team building. And creating an us versus them attitude. Laviolette knew exactly what he was doing.

Oh I get it.... It sounds like Crosby a little, and it references the fact he always acts like he's having a visit from Aunt Flow....

Sure seemed more like a punk trying to run the smallest guy on the ice, and our best playoff performer so they dont have to see him in the playoffs... Sure seemed like intent to injure to me...

and if the offense didn't produce like it did that pat on the back might be two feet lower and morphed into a kick in the pants. He played good but had that been a loss alot less praise would have been heaped on him. Just saying....
- JoeRussomanno

what's your point? he played well enough to keep them in the game after a tough start that wasn't of his own doing, and made a HUGE stop at the most critical time of the game to keep it that way. the fact that the flyers offense came to life in the third is irrelevant. he didn't have a chance on either of the garbage goals late in the game either.

he played well enough to win, and he did. tough game. tough opponent. very little playing time in the previous 6+ weeks. he did a great job.

It's Hockey. That's all it is. Hitting is still allowed in the game. It wasn't high, no elbows involved. Clean hit. Definitely not an intent to injure. The only thing you can question about it, is the time of the game.

Does anyone know who the Refs are that are assigned to Sat's game...

Bill, you should have a contest where we all guess the number of penality minutes both teams get... Winner gets playoff tickets... Make it happen...!!!

why would they be clamoring for his head? he made a clean check late in the game. if you want to talk about the knee injury to grossmann, yeah, maybe. the fans should be clamoring for harassment of their key guys - letang, crosby, malkin, staal, kunitz, neal.

if the game is irrelevant in terms of seeding, a lot of those key guys have a chance at being rested anyway, especially so they don't get targeted and hurt in a meaningless game.
