I sure hope hes not extended at all. His mild mannered wussy brand of coaching needs to go. Ive been saying all year we need some emotion behind the bench instead of someone that stands there chewing gum - Ihatebrianburke
Scotty bowman.
Calm isnt neccasarily the problem. In fact alot of times its easier to deal with a calm rational person. Reacting and devising strategies is the real problem |

Laughs has a better chance at nailing a woman than Bowman coming here. |

It is when you are Patrick Thorsen... and when you have lines with Smyth and Horcoff as your big hitters outside of Eager and Jones... - saskoil21
We're gonna draft Tom Wilson with our first pick of the 2nd round, and it won't be a problem...
6'4", 200lbs at age 18. Perfect winger for the Oilers.
"He seems to relish the physical game, uses his size to battle along the boards, drive to the net, and park himself in front of opposing goaltenders to cause havoc...He has already established a strong two way game. His skating is above average. We can’t say enough about his physicality." |

Isn't that what Pitlick, Hamilton or Martindale are suppose to be? |

I was giving an example of a calm coach who was extremely effective.
I dont think renneys demeanor is the problem |

Yeah pretty much, but I don't think it hurts to have that kind of player in spades. And growing into his frame, Tom Wilson projects to be Lucic sized rather than Jaime Benn sized. Still a good crop of guys.
In the end, I think it comes down to fit and chemisty, and his eagerness and prowess at scoring garbage goals stuck out as something that might fit in on a line with some of our smaller skilled guys. |

Keep drafting those types and eventually one will work out. |

Kinda like our 4th line center who can win draws?
We really need to just add these guys when they are available, waiting for someone to grow in to the position isn't going to work. |

Everyone wants to add big guys that can score. They aren't exactly readily available. Drafting possible ones while keeping an eye out for one to come available is improving our odds. |

Not now. Last year Renney called Khabby his starter. This year he has said Dubey has moved into the spot.
50-60 games next year for Dubey. - OilHorse
I should hope so... Guess we'll have to wait and see though. |

Renney must read your blog, he just got fined 10k for calling out the refs. - spawnofbettman
Yeah, I saw that on TSN earlier... He was fined 10k, because he was right. |

Wonder if Katz will pay it, based on previous incidents I doubt it. Still good to see from Renney |

Where's Cloutier's new blog already? I feel like I need to say something needlessly opinionated and uncited to compensate. |

The way I see it it he was fined for questioning authority. You know who elsed punished people for questioning them? Nazis. So that makes Gary Bettman Hitler by default. |
