There are a lot of European athletes who are with women for many many years but don't marry them until they have kids, if even then. Different culture. Different attitudes. It often seems to me that most European men I've known were much less worried about other mens' opinions of the women they were with than American men seem to be. Makes no sense to marry someone because someone else would want her. The someone else may be a complete idiot.

Interesting. Very interesting. I've never known a European chap, but then again I run with a primitive pack.

kind of like trading for a player because you don't want your competition to have him.

i used to loathe gary thorne, but after listening to him call college hockey and i think some wjc stuff, i changed my tune. clement is great too. always has been. i'd be fine with them as a duo. unfortunately, i don't think jj is going anywhere. coatsey either. i can't stand him.

Nope. JJ is on the job 18 seasons, and is still a relatively young guy. He's here to stay.

Could be worse though, could have Jack Edwards, or Paul Steigerwald.

I wonder if good old Steigy and Errey enjoyed the game today?

Flyers have done well against the Pens this year. 4 wins in 5 games, Laviolette should place a call to Jack Capuano to get a couple of ideas as well. Isles are the team that prevented the Pens from winning the Division.

i was hoping that his dipping into the phillies stuff would lead him off the ice and onto the diamond.

i was thinking about staggy and errey today. i'm sure they loved it.

Flyers/Pens is going to be the Marquee first round series, and the travel is very light, we will get a heavy dose of Doc, Edzo, and Pierre. Maybe the entire series.

They should go with Steigy and Errey with Pierre between the benches. By the end whoever didn't already hate the Penguins would.

What's the consensus among Pens fans? Do they dislike Steigy and Errey?

Regardless, after today if both teams don't relax next game then the playoff are gonna be extremely energy draining ...

I would bet there will be at least two weekend afternoon NBC games if it's a long series.

Luke schenn stinks. Grossman is here to stay no need for Luke. Jvr comes back next year.

I think JvR will be back in the playoffs.

Right now, I like the way all 12 forwards are playing. Not sure he would just replace one of them after not playing a game for 6 weeks.

Gotcha. There is enough hockey on between NBC, and NHL network, where even if you don't watch the local team you can get plenty of games.

You'd need a new building, angry fans from every other city would blow the new one up
