Yup. I think JVR could become a dominant player. The upside is very high.

I really hope I don't read something nasty about Grossman tomorrow. I would rather they got thrashed today than lose him.

i think JVR can be a hell of a player if he keeps a good work ethic and continues to try and improve his game

they will. i think today's game will go a long way towards making that happen.
- hammarby31

Hope so. I'm sure the Flyers want to win badly to prove they can beat the RanJerks.

No reason why he can't. Staying healthy is also key.

The Fish was solid tonight. Bergeron won 17 of 19 faceoffs. He's a really good player, and one of only a few Bruins I don't despise.

So, the night before the Ottawa game I was passing by the Whole Foods on South St. I look through the window and there is a dude who looks like Jagr. So, I go in, grab a basket, and walk by the checkout with an empty basket and jeez, its him. He is waiting for someone to finish paying. He is really big, and is wearing an olive green leather jacket, kind of euro style. So I say: You'r Jaromir Jagr (lame, I know, but I was pretty startled). And he looks at me from the corner of his eye and grunts. I tell him that I did not think he did his grocery shopping himself. And he ignores me and looks the other way. Then a lady comes by with a shopping cart and he goes with her. As he passes me he looks at me for a sec and nods.

I was quite awestruck and frankly there were a few hurt feelings b/c of the blatant snub. But hey, it was Friday night around 9.30 and the man probably wanted a little peace and did not want to be disturbed while he is shopping food with his lady. As long as he keeps making plays like the one he made on Staal today for the first goal, he is still cool in my book.

Canucks are gonna win the President's trophy again. That will leave a sour taste in the Rangers mouths heading into the playoffs.

Not in a supermodel way, no. He looked like he was waiting for someone and I ran my eye over the people paying and no one looked like they would likely be with him.

He really stood out though.

Ha.

He looked like the stereotype of the European playboy type. His jacket looked expensive and not the sort of jacket you see much in Philly, even in center city. He had this somewhat bored and tired look on his face. He looks older than 40 at close quarters. He also looks taller than the listed 6'3. In short, not your average joe.
