I would want to maim, maul, and dismantle things if it does.

JVR was on his way to a 25-30 goal year before injuries hijacked his season. Why sell low on him coming off an injury plagued campaign? Next year is a huge season in his development, I expect big things from JVR next season.

I didn't say trade him, Im with your assessment. I think Simmonds has played himself into the "Core" of this team.

definitely true this team could use some defense

but rick nash

Nash would be a monster playing with Giroux. No doubt about it, but there are more pressing needs. No sense of revamping the entire team again.

wayne is a bad ass. he will tangle with anyone and convincingly win most of the time. jvr will never be that player, which is fine. they don't need him to be. he has stick skills that wayne doesn't have. next year will be jvr's year.

if they could stay healthy on the blueline for a frickin season they wouldn't have so many needs.

Schenn really has struggled this year. I'm not a fan of his, at 22 it's a little early to say he stinks though.
- PLindbergh31

He cant do anything right except lay a big hit now and again. Even at 22 it's concerning

I think it certainly is fair to question if he will become a top 4 dman at this point. I'm glad the Flyers didn't trade for him.

it's fun to dream isn't it? More likely someone from this board wins the mega-millions.

I would hang on to JVR with all of the uncertainty surrounding jagr next yr. it would take a premier young puck moving dman like bogosian for me to change my mind.

Yup. I think JVR could become a dominant player. The upside is very high.

I really hope I don't read something nasty about Grossman tomorrow. I would rather they got thrashed today than lose him.
