I may be leight and if I am I apologize, but I went back and looked at the "hit" on Sid that caused the uproar. He cross-checked Schenn from behind 2 seconds earlier and thats why Schenn was pissed. Then Sid did his flop act and looked right at the ref, pathetically. Then Pens fans say, what if it was Giroux?? Giroux got punched and slashed by both your golden boys and yet nothing was done about that. Or how about when Malkin tried to take Giroux's head off earlier this season. You guys say nothing.

Schenn a marked man on Saturday? Fine. So is Crosby. Every hit should be hard, clean, and high. Pens want to play like bumholes, the Flyers can too and should take every single shot at him.

what you didn't enjoy doc's orgasms over bad shots from the pens?

AAAAaAAAAaaaauGGGHHH and the shot HITS THE GLASSSSSSSSSS

- Don'tForgetTocchet

man u hate him

just to play devs advo, i find that most announcers tend to play up chances from the team that is down in order to maintain the excitement and keep the audience interested by making it seem like a comeback is in the works.

i just never thought of emrick as anti-flyers i guess

That was just hilarious. But I laughed harder at the Hartnell Hulk thing.
- Just5

I was howling with Hartnell. I think if the NHL allowed it he would tweet between shifts. Hartnell has a ton of fun, and plays hard. He's really a good guy to root for.

Not me. Don't want suspensions and or more potential injuries. Pens had Asham, and Engelland, Flyers don't really have guys that can handle them. I was impressed with Simmonds holding his own with Engelland, who we have seen first hand is a tough hombre.
- PLindbergh31

I wanted to see Crosby and Malkin get it handed to them. I'm not worried about injuries cause players get hurt eating pancakes. Suspension would of been minimal bc theirs a week left and were going to be playing each other in the playoffs. Simmonds doesn't care he was fighting after taking stitches to the face the day before.

I'm getting seriously tired of some Flyers fans posting their indignity about what went on today as if our team is pure as Lilly white driven snow. Get over it.

- MBFlyerfan

i think it's more about the hypocrisy of the pens and their fans.

nobody's crying the hit on briere was dirty, just unnecessary, especially since the guy already kneed grossmann and took him out of the game. crosby wants to cry about targeting players and being cheap, he and malkin and need to look in the mirror. they're both guilty of elbows, slew-foots, ball punching and ball spearing, and plenty of slashing. i want those guys being put through the (frank)ing glass.

If the Flyers are locked into their seed, I would say without question he will play.

They also did mention during the broadcast players could or are supposed to be suspended for fights in the last 5 minutes.

I may have missed part of the conversation but know I heard that part.

Yes, in the case of an instigator being assessed...however, none were. Lotta PIM handed out, though.

He took a couple of shots, but hung in there. He's a tough SOB that Simmonds. I thought he would have worn a face shield or visor today.... Nope... Complete throwback.

Flyers have a bunch of guys who are easy to root for.

That they do. Very resilient team that never quits. Have to admire that.
I think if the Flyers had the kind of good fortune with injuries that the Rags have enjoyed this season, the Flyers would be challenging for a President's Trophy right now.

FYI: Osi, J Tuck, and Jason Pierre Paul are licking their chops. They each have a King Dunlap poster hanging over their beds.

reverse their SO futility and a fistful of poopty games from bryz at mid-season and they are.

I'm surprised no Flyers have gotten hurt making a bowl of cocoa puffs this year.

It's amazing how well the Flyers matchup with Pittsburgh. It's going to be a tough series for sure, but playing them brings out the best in this team, something that could serve them well down the road if they are fortunate to survive this 7 game bloodbath of a series.

Indeed. Injuries aside. Still a very solid regular season all things considered.

I think it's possible. I think a fine (that Mr. Snider would gladly pay) is more likely than a suspension.
- PLindbergh31

snider would drive to ny personally and hand bettmann his cash for how lava handled himself today.

doubt it was doc he doesn't say positive things about the flyers

i think it was pierre

pierre loves the flyers

- Don'tForgetTocchet

doc used to be pretty stingy on national games while he was still doing the devils stuff. he seems to be more complimentary now that he's a man without a team. you have to think he has SOME allegiance to the flyers organization as they gave him his first shot - in maine with the mariners, and then with the big club.
