You think the NHL is going to give Lavi a call? He did leave the bench and walked across the boards. I never seen a coach do that before but "I loved it".
- stveshdy

Nope. There were no instigator penalties handed out at the time, so it's unlikely either Laviolette or Pens' assistant Tony Granato will face supplementary discipline for their yelling match

It was reported by the Eagles that the injury will take anywhere from 9-12 months to heal.

It will take roughly 2 years before he is truly 100%

More than likely he will never be the same. Eagles would be wise to draft a tackle to groom. But from what I hear theres nothing there at 15.

Lucic just hammered Stralman in the back for the most obvious penalty ever, he didn't even have the puck. It was weird I think he thought he had the puck

I hope he doesn't get in any trouble because I don't think anything was done to warrant a suspension. I never been so excited watching a game. I jumped off my couch and tried to grab Crosby but he wouldnt drop em.

I agree with PLind, most he gets is a fine that Snider pays with a smile and a pat on Lavy's back

30 or older and a serious injury screams "cut" at some point in the future. The Eagles don't value guys high when something this serious happens.

maybe it was Doc, one of them compared Bourdon to Moose.

I loved Moose, back in the day.

I remember my ears weren't being bombarded with horrible high pitched sounds at the time, so it probably wasn't Doc.

I only say a possible fine because I'm sure Bettman, and Shanahan aren't thrilled with Lava climbing the bench like King Kong on National TV is something they are enthralled with. Although, it creates buzz for the playoff series. So maybe Laviolette just gets a phone call.

Considering the Flyers are playing their best hockey right now, I think it's a good thing we are going to play Pittsburgh in the 1st round.

isn't it in the rules that a coach isn't supposed to encourage a fight in the waning minutes? bilzzzma is the guilty party there.

Good question. I'm not sure. I don't know if the NHL will consider Laviolette's incident with Ott making a decision here. I find it hard to believe that he would be suspended though.

Im looking at the East standings......these matchups are pretty much set. Closest battle is the one for the 8 seed but all the matchups appear set

If there's an instigator assessed in the final 5 minutes, a coach can be fined. Today no instigators were assessed, so I doubt much comes from it.

I think it's more 99.5%. Pens have a 100% chance of finishing 4/5. Flyers have a 99% chance of finishing 4/5, with a 1% chance of finishing 6.

Not me. Don't want suspensions and or more potential injuries. Pens had Asham, and Engelland, Flyers don't really have guys that can handle them. I was impressed with Simmonds holding his own with Engelland, who we have seen first hand is a tough hombre.

They also did mention during the broadcast players could or are supposed to be suspended for fights in the last 5 minutes.

I may have missed part of the conversation but know I heard that part.

That was just hilarious. But I laughed harder at the Hartnell Hulk thing.
