I care so suck it. If I want to write about being pissed at he dirty hits I see I will so deal with it. I'M tired of Hearing about how dirty the Flyers are and I'm pointing out how dirty some of the Pens are.

Then get used to being a whiny female dog because you are going to get 4 rounds of it (hopefully), starting with the penguins in the first round.

There were reports that a broken stick that Laviolette slammed on the boards ended up on the Penguins bench. Not sure if that is true or not.

Pro Bowl Tackles don't grow on trees. Not sure how you think they will replace Peters.
- PLindbergh31

Nope. Their not going to be able to find someone of Peters level at this point but they can add a LT who can be servicable and play well. Peters is probably their best lineman but injuries happen and its better now than during the season.

I hope the Devils playoff series don't coincide with the Pens/Flyers, I don't want to miss these games.

Nope. He's not saying that. He's saying that both teams have guys that play dirty at times.

Malkin wasn't the only one who played chippy today.

- Jsaquella

Agreed but it's a joke with what Malkin gets away with.

Fair point. It's odd to lose guys for the season 3.5 months before camps open though. Extremely rare.

While the Flyers prepare for Crosby, Malkin, MAF, the Devils have to come up with a plan to beat Scott Friggin Clemmensen. What a joke. Playoff system is so flawed it's insane.

Not everyday a lineman tears his achillies working out in his hometown. Atleast they have the draft, UFA, or trade options to fill the spot. If this happened during the season it would be more tragic imo. Atleast the new LT will have OTA's and Camp to get accustom to the offensive schemes.

unless there was an update i heard the injury/rehab takes like 4-6 months. even if its 6 thats only October? but seeing as people are saying he's done for the year i guess thats not accurate

It is, but it's also not necessarily a bad thing...you get under his skin enough, he loses focus and stops playing the way he's capable of.

It was reported by the Eagles that the injury will take anywhere from 9-12 months to heal.

I'm currently rehabbing my second torn achilles. It's a rough injury to come back from. Being a pro athlete, obviously guys have to do a lot more than most everyday Joe Schmoes. There are different degrees to the tears as well. Travis Zajac had a partial tear, and it took him about 7 months to return. Given that Peters is a huge dude 350+ pounds, I would be shocked if he played this season.

The doctor that CSN usues, Mark Schwartz, said that the injury/rehab is usually 11 months and that a third of NFLers that suffer it are finished. He noted that Peters being so big and relying so heavily on his legs could be a big trouble.

maybe it was Doc, one of them compared Bourdon to Moose.

I loved Moose, back in the day.

You think the NHL is going to give Lavi a call? He did leave the bench and walked across the boards. I never seen a coach do that before but "I loved it".

I think it's possible. I think a fine (that Mr. Snider would gladly pay) is more likely than a suspension.
