my hatred for the pens is nearing an all-time high. i don't think i'll survive a playoff series against them. - hammarby31
If they didn't have so many rats on their team, then I wouldn't care. But between Cooke, Kunitz, and Malkin, you have 3 dirty players who are constantly taking cheap shots at their opponents. It's sickening. |

Man Bob has played well this game.. especially in the second period. Wow.. great rebound control and positioning on point blank chances and a few robs like on Cindy.
PS: how the (frank) was that not a penalty on Malkin when he knocks Roo down and then punches him in the back of the head??? THe (frank)in ref was right there watching.. - Hextall271
There were some bad/missed calls but on that one Giroux was too cute and Malkin pushed him down after backing him all the way to the bottom of the circle. I didn't see the punch in the head, but if it indeed happened I'm sure it was an accident. |

Wasn't much of an accident. Giroux was already on the ice |

Holmgren better be getting in the grill of the head of officiating after this game. You need to let the league know you're not going to let them run over you with this nonsense come playoffs. I know Homer is old school and not one to whine but you got to do what you got to do. You can see the tone being set already. It's no secret the league loves the PHI/PIT playoff matchup, but we all know who they want to see victorious. |

Bob has played pretty well in the last three games, rough first period yesterday, as well as the shootout, but he has settled down. Keeping the Flyers in the game. - PLindbergh31
he was the victim of a preposterous knuckle puck and then poor coverage. he's been excellent this game. |

I found it interesting earlier when Pierre said G "thought" Crosby slashed him. Then the team in the booth discussed how he'd been slashed and it should have been a penalty.
Yeah Pierre, G just was imagining things you useless toolbox. - bodiva88
He did the same thing earlier noting that lavy was complaining about the call rather than just saying it was a bad call. I hate watching games on NBC. Hate.

There are a few players on the Penguins I don't care for, but I don't hate their team. I despise the Rags much more. The Tortorella factor can't be ignored. I actually like Bylsma. I think he's a fantastic coach, and I really thought he came across as a good guy and class act on 24/7 |

Thank you. And to be honest with you, I wouldn't be very frustrated by it if the calls were going both ways, but that's just not the way it went over the latter half of the 2nd period. You can't keep ignoring the grabbing and head shots, and yet call fringe hooks at the other end. |

if he would just tone down the man-love some of the time, i think he'd get more respect, or certainly less mockery and hatred. he's very knowledgeable and sees the game well. |

Sure it was an accident. Real tough call. You should be a ref. |

I think the worst of the day was the Ref who just stared at Grossmann get kneed by Vitale. Sigh. This is nothing new. Get used to it bc we will see a lot of it in about a week. |

Agreed. Bylsma seems like a fantastic guy and coach. There are certain players that I do loathe on the Pens though, and to the surprise of many Pens fans, none of them are Sid the Kid. |

Yup. That was a Hoyt Whilhelm special. And for all the non baseball historians, Phil Niekro/Tim Wakefield of more recent vintage. |
