You never know. If the Flyers play Florida in the first round, the two of the Rangers, Bruins, and Pens could lose in the first round. Not likely, but who knows, stranger things have happened. Look at the path the Flyers had getting to the Finals 2 years ago.

Normally I would agree with you, but there is a chance the Flyers could get JVR and Meszaros back in the second round. That would be a boost.

- PLindbergh31

I think that JvR could be back in round one. I'd be amazed if Meszaros comes back before the third round.

And honestly, Florida could be a physical match-up and damage them as much as anyone. They probably have a better chance to beat the Panthers, but it could be a physical series that sees guys get banged up

Damn, Simmonds got stitched up, returned to the bench briefly, and went off again. Can't afford to lose him. Hopefully he is going to put a face shield on.

Any playoffs series will be physical, I'm just looking at the talent gap between the Pens and Panthers and it's as stark as can be. Not to mention the Penguins have superior goaltending.

Simmonds back, good work by Schenn to draw the penalty on Gonchar

Simmonds is a tough SOB.

HNIC broadcast reported Talbot wasn't on the bench. Hopefully an equiptment issue.

The same could be said about the Habs and Pens in 2010. Halak wasn't even the full time starter for the Habs for most of the year. Not saying that Theodore can pull off a Halak, but stranger things have happened.

I wouldn't mind the smoothest ride to the finals like they had in 2010 when the Pens and Caps were eliminated in the first round.

Montreal knocked out the Caps in round one, then the Pens in round two.

that better be a goal

how can kuba just push the net off like that?

That's not going to count. Kuba pushed the net off purposely, but it still wont count.

That's why I am saying they call it no goal. Far too much evidence that it is a goal for it to count

That could be the reason for allowing it if the net of the peg is inconclusive.
