That is awesome. Keeps my dream of a MTL last place finish on the rails.

It's as close to a completely inexcusable loss as I can think of in recent seasons.

Bet it doesn't happen if the Flyers hadn't of totally humiliated them on Thursday though. I'm thinking Carlyle used enough expletives at practice to make the board ads start peeling.

There's a bit of a rivalry with the teams being so close geographically, or there was.

Not sure where that stands with the current state of the Leafs.

There was a great stat during the game, going back to Anaheim Carlyle is 6-23 in his last 29 games

Any news on whether Letang might play tomorrow Bill?
- canadianpenfan

I would think he sits out. Even if Pens were to lose in regulation tomorrow, they'll still be ahead of Flyers. But real goal is making sure he's ready for playoffs.

Thanks Bill, but I disagree. If he's healthy I want to see him out there, these 2 head to head games are big for the team psyche heading into the playoffs.

2 periods to go. Flyers generated a bunch of quality chances. Tighten up the turnovers, and get after them for two periods. Game is still winnable.

Man, if you told me they'd get a point of of this right after that 3rd goal, I would have been happy.
- Jsaquella

pretty entertaining game after the first period

hopefully tomorrow's game will feel a little more normal to them and they won't have their afternoon nap at 12:30

Pretty good...I will be much better if you guys beat Pitt tomorrow. I am hoping the Rangers can clinch the conference tomorrow night.

Yea, it has been to long since Rangers-Flyers have met. I have a feeling they might meet at some point this postseason.

Not going to lie. Philly-Pitt is going to be a great 1st round matchup if it happens. I am sure it will be intense for you guys. But as a fan of the game, that will be fun to watch.

Honestly, I don't put any stock in regular season series outcomes. Everything changes in the playoffs. These are not must-win games for Penguins, and they are better off making sure Letang will be OK, IMO.

Stars have gotten utterly manhandled around their net by the Canucks and Sharks in the last two games. But, hey, they're better off without Grossmann because his Fenway/Wrigley Quotient numbers say so.
